Yeah I have no idea what any of this means
I suppose I should post an update for the purposes of intellectual honesty, and let everyone know that the day after we recorded this (about a month ago), I got a gig that I'm still at for the next week or so. So it's not exactly the dregs, as Paulou said, if you're VFXin.'
As for Prometheus, ugh. I hate DIFing movies I liked that everyone else hated. I'll just sit there quietly. Which might be necessary anyway, if there's gonna be eight people on mic.
Congrats on the job, Teague
As for "Prometheus" someone has to get the snacks and moderate all the medications to keep the panelists under control. I mean, I just relistened to Episode 3 commentary and there was some serious drinking in THAT movie, and just word "Prometheus" has the DiF members foaming at the mouth...
Please tell me your shots are up to date
Mostly just thought it was a funny photo, but yes, Zarban is correct-with the regular officials on strike, temp. officials, from arena football and college football, are filling in. Its not going well.
My apologies for any confusion to our friends across the pond
Just finished this one and my quick reaction was, "Well, Teague, if you're going to Boise, as is the plan, then you should just ome 8 hours further north and live in Couer d Alene. I mean, we have a lake and everything so we probably could get Trey's boat up here too."
I'm just sayin...
I live near here:
Oh, I completely forgot about "Jeepers Creepers." How's that?
Completely relevant-cops and doughnuts:
I'm a big fan of classic Krispy Kreme.
Jelly filled for me. Welcome to the show.
Alright, lets see-hop on plane, find Krispy Kreme and show up at Teague's house-I think that's a solid plan.
I don't do scary movies much, so I have few recommendations. Take them for what they are worth:
"The Ring"
"Exorcist"-can't remember if either have been done.
Um, can't think of any others at the moment.
Just finished this podcast and I learned several things:
First of all, I do not feel as bad of liking this movie any more. Most people see it as plain old action flick, all flash and no substance, but this just helped me realized why I enjoyed it so much.
Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walking are crazy no matter what. I think that Lance Hendrickson should fall in the same category. Just look at him in the Warhammer commercial:
Also, you can get on to a DiF commentary by showing up when there is an empty mic and bringing doughnuts. So, what doughnuts do you like?
Well played, sir, well played. That is a lot of information, and I will confess that "Blink" is one of my favorite episodes
The new Karate Kid does have one:
and is one of my favorite montages to date, especially with the creative use of the tennis racket and tennis balls.
Edit: code error and now fixed
Just saw TRON: Legacy. I thought it was a fun, visually stunning movie. But it wasn't a TRON movie... more of a spin-off. TRON wasn't even a character in the film. You could cut TRON out of the movie altogether and the story would be affected. He's only in the movie for the franchise title. So that disappointed me.
Clu was ok, but alittle wonky at times.
I wonder if the movie would have been better off titled "The Grid" or something similar to that. I mean, Tron was technically the main character in the original either, just a supporting character. Part of the drive for me in the movie was wondering when Tron would arrive on the scene.
However, your point is a good one in that Tron is rarely seen in the movie, though I personally liked the implications that CLU was able to rebuild Tron to his purpose. It takes the idea of CLU building the perfect system to its absolute extreme of the very pieces of programs already part of the system and reconstructing them.
I'm sure the scripts for all five seasons are done, just like those final six Star Wars scripts were just sitting on a shelf
Right, he always felt bad that his movies were "unfinished."
I'm guessing the alien ate his hosts' lungs?
Clearly, the alien is sitting outside the rib cage, as no ribs obscure the alien so this really would be apparent in the skin. Patient undoubtedly is experiencing severe discomfort.

Oh yeah, we should totally get Firefly back on the air... and also The A-Team while we're at it
Firefly? Come on, let's get real
I mean, where's my live action Star Wars TV series? Where is it!?
As an aspiring writer myself, I look forward to reading it
I can't speak for the others, but for my part, I started saying "friends in your head" for a reason. You guys are friends in mine, too.
Far as I'm concerned, the DIF world is a works-both-ways kinship, so if you happen to bump into me in a highway gas station bathroom, we'll totally make out, or whatever protocol dictates in that kind of situation.
We'll work out the details when we get there.
Until then, I shall be your voice in your head.
Like in movies, were the they read letters and hear the voice of the person writing it. You will hear my voice when you read menus
I just listened to this podcast (yes, it was a while back...so sorry) and have to say, I love the fact that it was mostly about Sea World, and Dr. Who
Having never been to Comic Con, its nice to see the other side that isn't all hyped and cliched nerd stuff.
However, one year there may have to be a "Pink Five" booth so we might have to make a showing for that
So, what they are trying to say is that fans are crazy? Because, I think we already knew that
In all seriousness, sometimes I worried that I am one of those crazy guys who knows too much about the DiF crew and would be like, "Hey" and they would be "Who are you? Should I call the police?"
The internet has accelerated our ability to meet people without aiding the means to really connect with people. Hopefully, I am wrong and the DiF guys would be cool with it, but the idea just occurred to me that even here on these forums, I usually know more about the panelists than they know about me
I don't think a kickstarter will do it, unless it pays for a coke-binge to supercharge motivation.
Really? There is that much coke in the world?
Just finished listening to this one and I counted no less than four internet memes being created:
I mean, seriously guys, the Internet can only keep up with so much
Zarban for God-Emperor of Dune!
New "Starship Troopers" movie in the works.
