So I basically just learned about the Extended Edition podcast, and that the TFA episode features some of the DiF crew.  But I don't see it available anywhere.  Is there any way I can get it?

I've recently been making short FX/film things and putting them on a YT channel that I hope to eventually host bigger projects on.  Like freddieW, pwnisher, AndrewMFilms type content.  But for now, I'm starting with super short VFX and sound editing projects.

This is something I've wanted to do for years, but would always have trouble thinking of ideas I could do by myself.  Now I have 3 videos up and have several more projects filmed and in post-production.

I hope you enjoy them as I post them over the next several weeks.

On page 1 someone suggested "The Teague Show".  If you're looking for ways to integrate panelist names in a fitting way, then you could use "Dork Men".

It is weird - every other advance in cinema over the last century gives you more: more colour, more contrast, more audio channels (& with 3D two separate visual 'channels'), more screen size, more resolution,... and yet this one thing, HFR, is perceived as a backwards step. More is suddenly less.

The thing about frame rates is that they're not like resolution, screen size, audio channels, or anything like that.  Frame rates are like temperature.  There's a higher number of degrees, a lower number, and an in-between that just feels comfortable.

As you may know, I live in Texas, currently in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Really?  I live south-west of Fort Worth.  The landscape is much more interesting on the road to FW from where I live than it is in the DFW area in general.  You don't really need to use Google Images, you only need Google Maps' topographical view.  tongue

As I live kinda far from Dallas, I was planning to film some of my part in some of the more visually interesting neighborhoods in Fort Worth.  Downtown, West 7th, Southside (Magnolia Ave), etc.

I'm in.  This idea sounds cool.  I know of a few "road trippy" locations not far from where I live that I could use.

1. How do you talk? Fast? Slow? Loud? Quiet?
Above average volume.

2. What's your accent?
Normal American-ish.

3. Are you most comfortable playing serious, pissed, wacky, annoyed, funny? If you'd rather do something specific like this, let me know, otherwise you'll just get a part and do your best.
I could go somewhere on the serious-to-wacky spectrum.

4. Do you have specific car limitations? Like, no back seat?
I'd be filming this by myself, so I'll only need the driver's seat.

5. Problem with profanity?
I'd prefer not to use it.

Also, 6. Pick a movie you love. Doesn't have to be your favorite, but one that you just freaking love.

Iron Man
Back to the Future
2012

I don't really want to use just one, but if you can imagine some kind of fusion of all those three films, that would be a movie I'd just freaking love.

Could notoriously bad directors have a place somewhere else in the film industry?

Like Shy Mu-Lawn, or U. A. Bowl?

I wasn't demanding they do a recording.  It's their lives and they can choose to record or have the time to themselves.

But no, I don't think it would have been a thing.  Fun fact: urban freeways are the cause of traffic problems, not the solution.  There's a fascinating scientific explanation of how they create congestion rather than reduce it.

But given that this section of highway is a connector, a link between two urban places, the expansion is necessary, since there really aren't other options for those going between the L.A. basin and the Valley.
