Topic: It's no fun doing live video chats.

Because it used to be I could feel cool for having eight back-log episodes of Down in Front that nobody else does. Now you can find them in archives on Justin.tv.

Personally, not a big fan of the live episodes. I don't sit in on them mainly because I have better things to do when they're on, and it's frustrating to know that you've recorded an episode I want to listen to, but you just haven't released it yet.

I love the live chats. I just am no good at remembering when they're happening, and I often don't have the movie available. And I hate to listen to a commentary without seeing the movie.

Warning: I'm probably rewriting this post as you read it.

I enjoyed the one live chat I attended. It's one of the few instances wherein the listener can contribute to the commentary. On the other hand, it is difficult to carry tone across in text. One can be taken more seriously than intended.

Naturally, the very fact of complaining has told more people about the site smile Luckily I have a slow connection so will just make due with the podcasts.

The live chats are fun in the sense that they're a new episode and you can sort of participate. My problem is i type slow and sometimes the chat is about everything except the movie, so i'll just hide the chat and watch the movie, while listening.

I really like the live shows. Mostly because I get 2 shows a week, rather than just one.

And the interaction is okay too, I guess.

I absolutely love the live shows. And by the time the episodes are released, I've usually forgotten most of the content anyway, so the episode still feels fresh. Also, hearing the odd mention of my username is a lot of fun. The interaction brings a whole new level of interest to DiF. I can be, in some small way, one of those head-friends.

Plus, why would I watch those back-log episodes on Justin.tv, which I can't do away from my computer, when I can wait a little and hear the polished, final product, with much better sound quality, and show notes, and I can take it with me anywhere?
