They do - again, it's not about whether they play a positive role in the plot, it's that they are not characters.
Re the monkey - yeah, the eyepatch and Nazi salute don't help!
Just got back from seeing Raiders in IMAX. Seek it out if you can, because it looks and sounds great.
*agrees with DocSub*
Just saw it!
I never really understood what Spielberg meant about Paul Freeman's eyes, until I saw it on a big screen. ![]()
Until it's blown up on an Imax screen (even fake Imax) you don't notice little issues like the camera occasionally losing focus in some of the medium shots. I definitely loved the new sound remaster, though. I never heard water dripping from the ceiling of the Peruvian caves before.
Why don't you listen to the commentary in this thread from two years ago?
"The Nazis were going to die anyway, with or without Indy's help."
Well, who isn't ![]()
"Am I going to have to pull this car over?"
"Well, yeah, Dad, eventually. What kind of mileage you get?" ![]()
Just showed Raiders to my six year old. She loved it. She thought the action was exciting, the heroes wonderful, and the treasure beautiful. Her biggest takeaway of the whole film, however, was the mind-blowing scene where THAT GUY ATE A BUG! DID YOU SEE THAT DAD!! THERE WAS A FLY ON HIS MOUTH AND HE ATE IT! I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT THIS MOVIE!
