Truly don't remember if I ever posted this. But TV on the Radio and Nine Inch Nails are easily in my top ten favorite bands of all time, and here they are, along with Peter Murphy doing a cover of TVOTR's Dreams.

So last night I was drinking beer and hanging out with friends and I confessed that this video has been in a heavy rotation for me for the last few days. I can watch this over and over again and for some reason I love it little bit more every time smile Turns out another friend of mine had the exact same reaction to it and had been watching the same clip obsessively.

'The Timeless', a 64K demo by Mercury, shown at Revision 2014 this weekend.

In other words, this entire video is generated in real-time by a program that is no longer than 65,536 bytes in its entirety. It could fit onto a floppy disk more than 20 times over.

yisss I love that stuff. Anyone remember .the.product, maybe ten years ago by farb-rausch? Eleven minutes long, also 64kb. Biggest improvement in Timeless here is that lighting, holy crap.

(And can we generally agree that simulated dust on a lens, while imperssive and showy to those in the know, is just... ugh?)
