Re: Release, Record: 11/9

Teague, the front page for this thread says Spider-Man 3 is recording on the 18th. I'm sure you meant the 8th, as in tomorrow. smile

Also, I'd have thought this would be more like watching Brian Finifter's death onscreen, unless of course he actually PREFERS this over the second film, in which case it will be his death on camera, because I'm going to hitchhike to California and MURDER him on general principle. smile

You should all pretend to love this film, just to fuck with the Spider-Man fans among the listeners.

Page1 has you doing the Indies (p3+p4) on Sunday, October 8th at 12 p.m.

I'm confused  hmm

[edit] thanx for the update, though I could have probably guessed the correct date without much trouble - I'm easily confused.  sad

Re: Release, Record: 11/9

I'd keep the geekza episode.  you're only going to have one episode where trey reacts to a movie he's never seen when the title of said movie is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.  Besides, it was a good episode.  That alone makes it worth keeping

Re: Release, Record: 11/9

I think it'll be really interesting to hear how a film analysis sounds after over 130 others, when compared to analysis for the same movie from before we had really done any.

I said the same thing, but was outvoted.  So now I have to watch that movie again.

So, we have Teague suffering through Spiderman and Trey has to survive Kingdom of Crystal Skull. I look forward to hearing the comments.
Well, at least there are some benefits to being laid sick in bed and having the day off. I am hoping to sit in on this recording.

I will probably be one of the few champions for Kingdom

Ok, I think we can all agree that Fireproof should be banned, yeah?

Just kidding. I love Last Crusade despite what they did to Marcus and Sallah. And what they do to Marcus in Crystal Skull is far more insulting. To both actor and character.

Those two posters side-by-side show just how doughy Harrison Ford has become in the last decade.

Last Crusade was my first introduction to Indiana Jones, so I always enjoyed it the most. Even though, the whole General Veers turning in to a skeleton freaked me out for the longest time.
Sallah never bothered me, but Marcus seemed to be tacked on to Last Crusade. He was no longer the more academic one-he was used more for comic relief.

To me, the scary part is not how old Ford has become, but the fact that Lucas and Spielberg decided that now is the perfect time to do another Indy film. My guess would be George started writing the sequels to Star Wars once he realized that Ford was still up to the task.

As is Sallah. In Raiders, he is a bit of a big shot (he tells the captain of the boat he will hear of it if his friends are hurt) yet in Crusade he's a numpty who doesn't know what a tank is called. I agree Brody is treated worse though, the head getting knocked of his statue in Crystal Skull is quite insulting in my opinion.

Crusade was the first Indy film I saw in the cinema and is my second favourite after Raiders (though it is quite close).

Re: Release, Record: 11/9

We looking at Sat or Sun this week, I know there is something on the books non-DIF related on Saturday night, but thought I would see what was what.
Just got the "take saturday, but we will need you on sunday, at least for a little while" talk, so figured I would check in.
Cause you know, I've got a HD just itching to get dropped off.

LOL, no worries.
So I actually get to relax for most of the day then ... I'm honestly not sure I know what to do with myself for that much time away from work right now.
Ah well I'll remember eventually.

And I'll pass along a HD tomorrow night then.
