I giggled, then stopped, then giggled again.
I've probably said it before but, Dune.
Yes, but which one? The David Lynch film from the 80s or the miniseries from 2000? They're both good, in their own ways. I'd be happy with either. Or both.
As for suggestions, I'd like to see you guys do Inception, Red and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. And I agree about Branagh's Henry V, but if you do that one, you need to do his Much Ado About Nothing as well. If only to demonstrate why you never cast Keanu Reeves in Shakespeare.
I'm sure this has been suggested man times but I think the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a no brainer. I loved that movie as a kid and continue to love it to this day. And who knew Sam Rockwell was in it?
TMNT the very 1st movie i saw ever in my life. I was 3.
Although that doesn't beat seeing Batman returns when i was 5. Seeing it again in recent years has made me wonder how anyone would let me see that movie at such a young age.
BTW I'd like to hear you guys do Gladiator one day..
Someone doing an iRiff of Zardoz has reminded me this is a movie you guys should really take a look at Hell, it's about time you did some John Boorman in general. The idea that the same guy that did Zardoz also did Deliverance and Excalibur...
I love how much Zardoz doesn't give a FUCK about anything.
Zardoz teaches such important life lessons..
"The gun is good. The penis is evil. The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life to poison the Earth with a plague of men, as once it was, but the gun shoots death, and purifies the Earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth . . . and kill!"
that's just good science
Absolutely makes sense, it's how I try to live my life.
Kick-Ass just went live on Netflix streaming...Kick-Ass commentary?
...crazy. We were going to do that one this weekend, but had to re-schedule.
I have a suggestion on a movie you should never do. Never do The Spirit. That movie... Oh. MY. GOD what a waste that one is. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I think Frank Miller finally lost his marbles...
I've decided you guys should do The Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl. Mostly for my own amusement.
ever thought of doing Moulin Rouge? It's sorta a musical, with one of the strongest opening sequences I've ever seen.

funny, i've never seen the entire movie, but after my wife watched it, she forced me to sit down and watch the open 10-15 minutes... I have no idea what happens after that, but that opening is really cool
A Tim Burton Batman commentary?
There has been a discussion about doing ALL the Batman iterations from Burton to Schumaker and then culminating in Nolan. (And no, we're not counting the TV Batman movie from the 60's).
And you should also do the animated Batman Mask of the Phantasm, just to compare what Bruce Timm and friends were doing to the slow decline of the live action franchise.
(And no, we're not counting the TV Batman movie from the 60's).
Although I don't see why not. That was the Batman I grew up with... and damn, all those other versions aren't funny at all.
Well, Schumacher's kinda came close.
You know, I grew up with the 60s version too, in the 80s. I loved it and used to watch a VHS tape of it recorded off the tv for years. Then I hit puberty and saw Burton's Batman in 1990 (on video) and thought that was the best thing ever. I now know better
Haven't seen the 60s Batman in a while, may look it out and give it a watch again (I have all the others on Blu Ray except Batman and Robin, I'd rather shave my bollocks and dip them in alcohol than own that piece of shit)
I'm not sure how many of the Pirates commentaries you've recorded but I watched the second movie with the writers commentary last night and one of the things mentioned was how they wanted to move away from "One hero and a three act structure"
thought that might be something to add to your discussion, how successful they were with it

I thought we weren't doing it because its hard to acquire in conventional legal means. Ive seen it, and its kinda awesome in that it's Batman's entire rogues gallery fighting him at once. Plus it was the Eartha Kitt Catwoman, I believe, which was my favorite.
Faldor, we already did DMC, but I wouldn't be opposed to doing a second recording of it, a la Dawn of the Dead, to include discussion of how totally bullshit that is.
You should just dub in new dialogue to the existing commentary. It would be super easy, since you wouldn't even have any problems with lip-synch.
