Well, in the next two books I don't see Mikael as one of two protagonists, but as more of a supporting character. He get the story started (his friends are murdered and he begins investigating) but it wouldn't be impossible. But it probably wouldn't be good either, so hopefully Craig will take the lower salary or Sony will find the money he wants.
