My Little Pony, everyone.
-_-
Yeah... What else would it have been?
What I found was this story in EW, so at least I guessed correctly.
But seriously - disagreeing with a change to a show is fine, but as for "breaking of canon just to sell toys"... the toys predate the show by thirty years. The show was created just to sell toys.
I gather folks enjoy the show and that's cool, but "canon"? This isn't exactly the Koran we're talking about here, is it?
BigDamnArtist: I posted it in this thread for a reason
Attention?
(sorry, couldn't resist )
Hey now.
Trey: but the fact that they are messing with the established rules of the show to make more toys is my problem. (Whether or not I'm justified in having that opinion, I'm not sure).
Jimmy B: I've been feeling really depressed lately. I needed to talk to someone.
Teague: Hi there!
It was a joke, honest , just gentle ribbing
EDIT:
Jimmy B: I've been feeling really depressed lately. I needed to talk to someone.
Yeah, Depression is a bitch, going through it myself (have been for the past decade) but you can actually just talk to us instead of posting stuff about MLP in a movie thread. Feel free to PM some one if you need to talk

MLP makes me happy. So I post about MLP.
I also tried to post in the closest thing to a "doesn't deserve it's own thread" thread. I didn't wanna go looking for another one.
And I'll be fine. I'm just feeling bad right now.
Why don't you start a MLP thread? It'll be your very only thread to post as much MLP stuff you want in it
I don't like to bother people with stuff I like. (Well, at least not too much)
And you guys don't seem like the people who'd be interested in my ramblings on cartoons.
If it's just MLP, maybe not, but what about an animation thread? I do enjoy cartoons, I love a lot from the 80s/90s and I'm a massive fan of Hanna-Barbera, so I don't mind talking about cartoons. I just don't watch that particular one
I'm too scared of you guys to go and make another thread all by myself

We have a thread about Gary Busey. It's a big tent here at DiF.
Exactly and I started one on UK double acts. I didn't know how that would go but it was, as far as I know, well received.
I have other ideas for threads too but I can't be bothered

Trey: We do?
...
okay
Anyone else slightly curious as to how MLP could jump the shark? I mean, aren't they from a magical land?
It seems Hasbro is forcing the creators of the show to change a mane character in a way that doesn't make sense in any way so they can make new toys of her. If this is a permanent change, this can hugely effect the way the plot of the show works. (in what i think is a negative direction to take it)
(and i like how that character is now. if they change her in the way they plan to I personally think it will make her less interesting and have fewer places for the writers to explore her personality)
I'm kinda concerned that Hasbro has started to compromise the story of the show just so they can add characters to make toys of.

Unfortunately, while I understand your plight better now (all kidding aside *digital hug*) it honestly doesn't surprise me with Hasbro.
I like their toys and all but they don't always make the best decisions with their products.
*wishes to make his own toy line*
Re-reading my responses and I realize that I sound much more calm and collected on the matter than I really am.
I was an emotional wreck before hearing this news. This didnt help much.

Sorry to hear that. Really do wish you feel better soon. Always hear for people who need to talk
Empireonline has posted photos of Edgar Wright's new flick, The World's End-
Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Eddie Marsan.
Pegg, obviously
Indeed. They also posted this still from The Wolverine with Logan looking pretty smart.....
