I'm listening to this through headphones, at my normal 50% volume level. Yes, the audio could be described as "hot" but it's not obnoxiously so, doesn't hurt my ears and I can totally understand everyone speaking.

I watched Elysium and don't recall the effects at all, except that they bolted what look like the hydraulics for a trunk SUV onto Matt Damon and called it a robot-body...which I found unconvincing.
