A scene where Riggs smashes his tv in anger, one where he takes out a sniper at a school and one where he takes home a new tv. This makes the first act too long and takes ages for Riggs and Murtaugh to meet. Especially when there is also a scene in there where Murtaugh is practising shooting his gun. Then, later, Riggs picks up a young prostitute and pays her to go home with him just to watch his new tv for the night.
Like I say, on their own, they are interesting (well, the sniper and the prostitute ones are) but they just make the film drag.
