That refreshed my memory... I remember the Bundys (Married With Children) making fun of the Last Action Hero flop, so... yeah, I guess I'm old.

The whole plot was spoiled for me by the Bravo teen magazine (sold in Germany and some neighboring countries). They did "reviews" (that actually were detailed plot summaries) of all then-current movies. Apparently the concept of "spoiler alert" didn't exist back then, because they never bothered to warn their readers. 1993 was a weird time...

But pity the warrior who slays all his foes...
