Re: Suggest a movie!
I'd love to hear them do Metropolis.

Actually speaking of old classics, the new "as uncut as we're ever going to get it" print of Metropolis is playing in Buffalo this week. Any chance of you guys doing something that old school?
I saw that a few months back when it was playing in LA. It's absolutely mind boggling some of the shit they pull in that film - it still rivals Titanic in terms of sheer audacity of production, in my opinion.
Sorry if it's a repeat...but has anyone said American Psycho?
NO, ALAN
YES IT IS
Also, welcome to the forums, dansturm.
We have fun.
October Scary Movie Month suggestions:
The Descent
Slither
Sean of the Dead
28 Days / Weeks Later
Event Horizon
Oooh, slither.
Oooh, slither.
I concur
WHERE WE'RE GOING, WE DON'T NEED EYES.
Ah, Sam Neil. Speaking of which, how about In The Mouth Of Madness?
And regarding the Descent, the UK and US versions differ slightly.....
You guys should do this movie.

Slightly? One's a riveting exploration of fear and envy, with a double-entendre title that doesn't reveal itself until the last ten seconds and that will leave you shaken and exhausted from the experience, and the other one's a stupid monster movie.
WHERE WE'RE GOING, WE DON'T NEED EYES TO SEE. Oooh, creepy.
FTFY.
If memory serves the UK (better) cut of The Descent has that extra twenty seconds or so before credits roll, yes?

Yeah, it's not much, time-wise, but the ending to the UK version is a bit of a kick in the teeth and better for it. Plus, the sequel is based on the US version and made little sense over here.

Yup, that's about right
Yeah I remember now. We got it as a Special Edition DVD. Never knew they made a sequel. Don't know how you'd do that with the UK version. I'm sure it was one of those direct to DVD sequels you see on the shelf that evokes a double-take followed by "they made another?".
It was released in cinemas in the UK. Neil Marshall produced it but didn't write or direct and Sarah, the main woman in the first one is, again, the lead.
Ninja Assassin is both terrible and ridiculous, and therefor you should totally do it.
You guys should do this movie.
Holy hell...what in god's name is that??? And yes, you should review this movie.
And I'm just going to say...I've always loved (and shared my love for) Grosse Pointe Blank. Just puttin it out there.
did you guys do Indy 4 from DIF? I know you did it on geekza but for some reason, I remember hearing Trey talking about certain aspects of the film during a commentary. Especially about metal turning corners due to selective magnetism...
That was the official last episode of Geekza, http://www.downinfront.net/geekza/, last one at the bottom.
apparently, my edit on my last post did not go through... Once I started listening to the Indy 4 geekza commentary, I recognized Trey's voice so that was where I remember that from. Just ignore my previous post. It's more like a giant face palm when I read it now.
