Topic: The Wall

... just got back from seeing Roger Waters' new tour of The Wall.

You know that feeling when you discover you're too late to experience something, that you'll have to go through life wishing you had been around or an adult a decade or two earlier so you could have gone to this incredible live event but it's never to be, and then suddenly you have a second chance and it in fact is as good as you always hoped it would be?

See this show. The eventual DVD will NOT do it justice.

Re: The Wall

Why do I doubt this will be available in the US?  Well, at least here in Hicks-ville Florida.  They're re-releasing the movie or is this a concert recording?

I'll have to watch The Wall again; I've got the album and I love it.  My English teacher my senior year did a whole unit on Pink Floyd.  We watched The Wall in class!  I don't have the temperament for their early Prog-Rock stuff, but The Wall and Dark Side of The Moon are required listening for anyone.

Re: The Wall

It's an updated version of the live concert version, with giant inflatable puppets and all. He's doing a ton of dates, and going old school by staying for two or three nights in larger cities. It's well worth traveling to the big city to see, especially as given his age this is not only your only chance to see this but it'll probably be his last tour. I'm sure he's hitting Florida at some point.
