Topic: FCP Multicam Question

Here's the scenario, I like to do multicam on shoots where we use more than one camera, just cause it makes my life easier in terms of cutting between two sources of footage.  My boss seems to think that 1. multicam takes longer to cut than the regular old fashioned way. 2. If I do multicam on say two cameras, he thinks that fcp combines the audio from both cameras together .  I tested this out and I'm not hearing that, but he doesn't seem to want to budge... thoughts..?

Re: FCP Multicam Question

1) there is more time in the organization phase, but you save time during assembly, especially on longer projects. I wouldn't bother if it's a 5 minte short or something, but anything north of 20 minutes is a must.

2) once you make a group, audio and video are available.  On your right window, in that little square, select "open" and then in your source window you will see your cams.  On that square, select "audio only," and you can toggle between audio from different sources.
