One of your team said something like "Mr Urban had, like, a sweet deal -> all that strength and able to go out in the sun, who wouldn't want that". Postulating "who wouldn't want to take him up on his "I'll make you like me" offer." (ish).
Personally, though those qualities are appealing, having to live on blood would dampen the joy (I do like my chips).
(though it's been a while since I listened so I might have miss-heard. )

Speaking of movies Priest reminds you of, the opening animation reminded me of the opening of an animated movie that WASN'T animated The Ralf Bakshi movie "Wizards" has an intro about how things divided into good and evil, and evil lost and wasn't much of a threat anymore. As usually happened with Bakshi they ran out of time/money, so just show still art depicting those scenes.
