Topic: Detention: I'm literally begging...

I don't know how many people are aware, but Joseph Kahn (pop music video director for the past 20ish years), just released his second film Detention (which he paid for himself), and it's fucking bananas.

It's in a limited release in 10 (i think) cities till tomorrow (thursday) but being held over for a second weekend in Burbank, Houston, and NYC.  It's in AMC theaters.

I loved this absolutely insane movie and I REALLY want some of the DIF folks to check it out and break it down.  It's beyond crazy and just silly fun.  I'm literally begging you.

Please do.  There's also a quick clip from one scene on the site.  Although it has to be said that the trailer couldn't possibly encompass everything that's going on in the movie.

There's a high school slasher flick storyline surrounded by time travel, freaky friday body swapping shit, aliens, 'The Fly'-esqe transformations, and just so so much more nonsense.

And, for some reason, it's a highschool movie full of pop culture references for people who are in their 20s now and grew up in the 90s.
