Wow...just wow. There is a lot in that article but the overall point is very good and clear-"It was fun in high school but time to grow up." It is interesting how many points of that "counter-culture" that is quickly eviscerated in that article. I mean, there are some that I have rolled my eyes at for years but then I was never punk or cool wink

There's no point in the article where he ever says as much. However, the idea of defining yourself by what you don't like rather than what you do like is a very adolescent one, but seems permanently arrested into punk as he defines it.

That was the point I took away from it. I just feel like punk started with an adolescent mindset and refused to grow up. MXPX is a great example with their song "Responsibility"
