Topic: Max Landis' "Death and Return of Superman"

Goddamn this is cool. I'm sure that Eddie and other people who are more familiar with comics will have more to say about this than me, but I think it's a really interesting way to re-do the Death and Return storyline without just doing the same thing with minor detail changes. The deaths in that battle are shocking, although they do feel a bit thrown in just for shock value. I guess you get to do that when you're doing a whole new universe.

Re: Max Landis' "Death and Return of Superman"

About to watch, but for funsies: Sunset Gower Studios is literally opposite the "old CBS Hollywood building" I keep referencing in everything because I worked there, and if I'm not mistaken, SGS is the current home of a Technicolor office as well as Eden FX.

Okay, shutting up now.

EDIT: Just got to the "Act II" title card. More specifically, I PAUSED it when I said "jeeeeesus CHRIST, Max," and it turns out that by the time my finger moved, we had hit the Act II break.

...

Anyway, Jesus Christ, Max.

EDIT: Done. Why hasn't Max been on the show? This guy is our people. He's even witty. I blame Mike, he's the only one of us who knows him.

Super fucking cool. Loved his story, loved his delivery.

Re: Max Landis' "Death and Return of Superman"

Max Landis is awesome. I'll never understand why he gets so much hate on the internet. Do a commentary for Chronicle and invite him on. He'd fit right in on the couch.
