Re: #44 - Disney Buys Lucasfilm
Look the last time a woman went to space in a movie all the satellites were destroyed and everyone got killed. Might have been coincidence but Harrison doesn't want to take the risk.

Any chance we see Luke and Stacy's kid in the new movie?

"The prequels also had one major female character. I think. I can’t be sure, because I fell asleep in the middle of every one. They were some of the worst movies that have ever been made. Ever. Dull, boring, insulting, grating — I wish there had been no women in those movies. When future generations look back at this ridiculous time when Hollywood insisted on churning out film after film told from the perspective of straight young white men, I want them to look at Attack of the Clones and say “Women had nothing to do with that.”"
Maybe Andy Serkis will play a female alien. That would be cool.

Oh god, my brain hurts from the mere thought of even glimpsing the almighty torrent of hellfire and anger that would rain down from the internet if that were to happen.

Well, there is already going to be that, so what is one more?

I like how she thinks Attack of the Clones was told from the perspective of a straight young white man and not an old fart who lost touch with humanity.
She's referring to the main character and intended audience. Nobody thinks young people, let alone straight ones, actually write movies.
You know, I'm sitting here re-watching Galaxy Quest and it's striking how similar the crew on this movie looks to the new cast of Star Wars.
Seriously, though: Star Wars and Galaxy Quest
So, rumour has it that the title may be 'The Ancient Fear'?

Wow, has it been ten years already?
THE CREEPING FEAR... it sounds like a serial chapter title... it has a retrofunk to it and like both the previous names it would be sure to drive fanboys screaming mad about how Lucas is insane and how Fincher should be directing the final part... but... THE CREEPING FEAR is the thing that's gonna bite Anakin on the ass and complete his transformation. THE CREEPING FEAR is what is going to be wiping out the Jedi, making the few survivors genuinely feeling like lucky bastards.

I can't decide if it's funnier if Harry is just making that shit up, desperately trying to make it happen by force of will alone, or if there's some troll out there who's been biding his time for a decade and managed to get Harry to fall for essentially the same nonsense twice.
If I make a STAR WARS film ten years from now I'm using the working title "THE LOOMING FEAR" regardless of whatever we actually intend to call it. Just to fuck with him.
Gareth Edwards is doing the first Star Wars spin off!

There's always a chance Billy will make a cameo somewhere in the film. Bummer he's not a main character, but I wouldn't completely rule him out.
Saw him at a local convention two years ago. Despite that he was very pleasant to talk to one-on-one, during his panel he seemed to have absolutely no idea where he was, nor did he have that much interest in going super-deep into "Star Wars" discussion (his statements on it were a bit more broad and not as - perhaps - geeky as I think some audience members were hoping for. But luckily the audience was knowledgeable of his other works, which doesn't always happen).
He's still perfectly fit to continue his highly successful voice over career. But I'd be surprised if he managed to pop in for this.
Filming has started in Abu Dhabi, and photos have been linked. Given Abrams tight fisted approach to leaks and spoilers this was a bit surprising. So, there have been a couple of stories regarding photos: http://www.nerdist.com/2014/06/more-epi … liar-ship/

Josh Trank is directing a Spin-off...

I don't have admin-y powers, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it now: please, PLEASE no Ep 7 Set photos. I count any set photo as a spoiler and they should be under the spoiler banner.
Don't give two damns about Star Wars, but will second a no illicit set photos policy just because they're trashy.

Yeah, we'll make that a rule.
You can post set photos and other leaks, but you have to hide them in clearly-labelled spoiler boxes.
I'll edit fireproof's post accordingly.
Thank you Teague. As much as we're all chomping at the bit for any news about these movies, it's best to remain blissfully ignorant.
I did like how JJ handled the leaks.
(It was posted on the Bad Robot Twitter, but I've spoiler tagged it just in case)

Apologies, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you Teague for the fix. I would have sooner, but my laptop is in need of fixing
Though, I am not in the spoiler-free camp, I will respect those who are
