Not sure, but I know I'm never in sync with region 2  (PAL) dvds, I wasn't with Constantine this week or Sunshine last week (don't have them on blu).

Oh, and I re-listened to the Ghostbusters commentary last week and that sounded perfect with my blu ray. I love blu ray. And commentaries smile

I'm in the never seen 300 camp so I have to rent it before listening to the commentary. I'm in the UK, so sync issues are a problem, but oddly if I watch the film on UK Blu Rays, they're always in sync. This happened with Gremlins, Die Hard, Star Trek, Star Trek VI and T2. Everything else has either been out or I have the region 1 dvd smile

And the director of Constantine (and Djimon's IMDB page fwiw) say it's JIE-mon.

I'm still betting the director of the movie knows how the man's name is pronounced.

Indeed. I'd also trust the man himself- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdZX_69xIaw

Well, Trey pronounced it the same way I've heard it pronounced in interviews and talking head shows. So unless everyone is wrong except you, I think he said it just fine. big_smile

I watched Constantine for the first time in a couple of years (saw it in the cinema then on dvd) to prepare for the commentary and I must say, Shia didn't annoy me this time. I must be used to him by now in other things. His character in i Robot still bugs me,though (saw it on tv a few weeks ago) totally pointless. At least Chas helped.

Great commentary by the way, fellas smile

I like Shia, I just find him more annoying in his earlier sidekick roles like Constantine and i Robot. I don't like his characters in those films, they are basically the same. He's much better in Disturbia and Indy 4.

They are awful movies but some of them have real 'what the fuck?' value and have to be seen to be believed. With Postal, Boll manages to be both awful AND offensive, so you sort of have to admire him for that. Or not.

And he did get Kristanna Loken to get her boobs out in BloodRayne.......

I had the chance to see Constantine in a sneak peek before release and passed. Keanu in yet another satan-nearly-produces-the-antichrist movie around the same time as Schwarzenegger's End of Days? Ugh.

I wouldn't really say six years later is 'around the same time'. Wasn't even the same decade big_smile

I like Constantine despite, as Zarban says, having both Shia (in annoying sidekick mode) and Keanu (in Keanu mode) in it.

I'm downloading the comm now, but I'm actually dreading listening to this. I'm a fan of the old Trek movies and this new one. (just got II, II and IV on Blu yesterday actually big_smile)

I'm not a huge fan of Titanic, rather, I'm not a fan of the first half of Titanic. The love story does nothing for me but once the iceberg makes its show stealing appearance, I think it's a much better film. And there's no denying the frickin' awesomeness of the FX.

I'm Shifty and I'm in Scotland. I'm not actually shifty, it's just a name and my parents are really cruel. Well, they would be if that was my real name. But it's not.....or is it?

No. Wow, I really am shifty......

Darn it. This film has only just been released on dvd/blu here and I have yet to see it. No commentary for me this week sad

I look foward to listening to it when I can, though smile

Huh.

When we see the flash of the finger cutting it cut straight to the wife tending to his wound. I didn't think that was the same as when his fingers were shot off. If it was, her inclusion in that scene threw me off.  Darn Nolan and his sneakiness.

Remember, I posted right after seeing it for the first time, The Prestige is a film that demands more than one viewing to let bits sink in smile

Back to the Future is one of my favourite films of all time so obviously I'd like to hear you guys talk about that. I thought The Fifth Element was awful though, largely due to Chris Tuckers performance.  Mystery Men would rock though.

New suggestion- how about a Muppet movie? I'd have thought The Muppet Christmas Carol would have been ideal last December (I think you mentioned going to do it) but it never happened. Or Labyrinth or Dark Crystal. Something with Muppets, dammit big_smile

I had never seen the Prestige till last night (31st Jan) so I could listen to the commentary afterwards. I knew nothing of the film but I spotted the truth about 'Fallon' from the start. Not boasting or being smug, I'm really pissed off at myself that I did!

Anyway, I liked the film but I agree with Zarban's comments above. Plus, on the comm, you guys talk about the wife's knowledge of the scam but she obviously knew of the twins early on due to the fact that she helps with the cutting off the fingers. Great comm as usual guys, you magnificent bastards smile
