I watched season one again recently for the first time in about 10 years and was really suprised how good it actually is, it's a tad dated in places and isn't what the show became in s2 and 3 but it's pretty enjoyable.

also I'm now rewatching Firefly thanks to the commentary.

I'd like to see DiF do either Goldfinger, being the template Bond film, Goldeneye for being the one the entry drug for many of us or Casino Royale for being a good recent example.

I actually quite like Moonraker the 90 min set on earth are much better then anything in most of Moore's other films for the most part and the opening sequence where Bond jumps out a plane with no parachute which was just filmed by throwing away stuntmen until they got the shot was epic, until that bloody circus tent!

Ok it's definitely a completely different direction from the book - The only Bond adventure set entirely in Kent.

They had an interview in Empire a while back which talked about how they make a lot of their money from agreements with blockbuster as well as tv stations showing them.

when we had this at the cinema they actually scheduled it for twelve minutes past eight. Someone in the company actually has a sense of humour I guess.

Customers had a hard time understanding it however.

"whens twenty twelve on?"
"it's on at 2012 - see what they did there!"
"...No?"

I actually went to see Metropolis at a cinema screening about a month or so ago, really interesting to see such an old film projected, and the model shots looked stunning.

ended up listening to this tonight on a flight from Melbourne to Perth, really interesting stuff.

Trey's story about his friends hung over zombie experience was hilarious.

There are a couple others that have surprised me.  I remember commenting once while staying with Teague that I didn't care for Amanda Tapping's accent in Sanctuary, to which Cloe informed me "You know she's English."  Sure enough, born in Essex, moved to Canada when she was 3.

She may be English but she doesn't have an accent, and the one in sanctuary (like the show itself) is rubbish.

Portman did an alright 'put on accent' it doesn't sound like an English accent (some of the reviews I recall wondered why she sounded South African) but it doesn't grate on you like the worst offender - Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

I was pleasantly suprised by Maggie Gyllenhaal's accent in Nanny McPhee (I work in a cinema)

I remember reading an Indiana Jones script back in high school (10-15 years ago) which had him trying to find Noah's ark or something and there was Hitler's bones... And then another one, or the same one, which had the knights of the round table....Are either of these the Darabont script?

No, The Darabont draft was written in 2003, There was an earlier script for a third film written by Chris Columbus called Indiana Jones and the Monkey King, but that doesn't sound like it.

I know there have been a couple of attempts by wannabe screenwriters who wrote their own scripts and tried to pass them off as legitimate sequel scripts to try and make a name for themselves however.

The 'Social Network' script has popped up online, I'm in two minds about reading it.
