No 3D, no 48 fps for me even if I could (and I probably couldn't around here; sometimes you even have to struggle to find an undubbed version viewing). Teague just said it, there's the risk of ruining your experience with the movie, and I won't have that.

But I'd definitely be up to experiencing the 48 fps afterwards. 3D? Never cared for it, and I don't think it's going to change with higher fps.

It says "Parisian Costumes". Don't involve the rest of the country, please.

Well, vidina too. Wait, no.

'Bout time I made the french part of myself useful here.

I happen to make some decent dishes from time to time, so when I do, I try and make them look cool and take pictures of 'em. How about you guys?

Now, describing what's that made of would be an interesting exercise. Even in French I sometimes have a hard time doing so.

Oh jeez, Eddie. That's an amazing story. It makes you see things like Down in Front and also movies in a whole new angle.

Honestly, I think we'd all fit better at a coffee shop in Amsterdam.

Or at your place in Norway. I'd bring my telescope, and we'd do astromovie nights.

Oh, you guys.

I'll be celebrating my first whole year as a DiF member in a few weeks, so I'm kind of a padawan here.
But this community has already brought me so much, and it just won't slow down. The reasons why have already all been brought up in this thread, but as a young french guy, it also brings me an amazing way to be better at speaking english - with actual english speaking people - and live with it. Not that I'd deny where I'm from - let me have my foie gras in peace, et vive la France ! - but I've always been drawn to this whole other world and culture.

Thanks for being here, and a very special thank you to the Guys for making the podcasts and basically justify in themselves why I love this movie world and study for it. I realize it began with RvD and me jerking around in After Effects as a teenager, and this place here is just the natural continuity of it. It's actually because of some of you guys that I am where I am now.

*sheds single manly tear*

Also, I second the Down in Front Cafe. If you ever make one in LA, I move there immediately. I promise I won't be creepy about My Little Pony. Well, not that much anyway.

Hot damn, that's insane work. This is gonna be amazing, and extraordinarily helpful.

The only Woody Allen film I've ever seen is Whatever Works, and I thought it was pretty brilliant. Larry David was awesome in it.

I'm gonna say it.

I hate MLP, and I hate when people shove it down my throat.

That seems to be a slightly unpopular opinion these days.

The DIF bronies are okay though, you don't usually rub me the wrong way.

It's completely fine by me to hate MLP, as long as you know what you're talking about. Most people I read on the internet are like "Those MLP lovers are complete retards, I mean, it's for little girls, duh", and probably have never even checked it out. Those people I hate just as much as the ones you're talking about: fanatics who cannot get the fact that you're allowed to have different tastes than theirs. It pretty much works for anything at all, but I find it can get even uglier with music.

Some days ago I watched a Youtube video of people who call themselves bronies. Well, I am most definitely not a brony, even though I really like the show. No need to be freaky about it.

Also, to get back on the topic, I have a feeling that Battlestar Galactica (the 2004 show) isn't much loved around here. I'm a big time fan, so I wonder if this is just a false idea I had, and if not, whether this is generally because people compare it to the original show they loved or they just think it sucks in itself.

I don't, but I can understand why you would.

As for me, loving My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic might as well be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not ashamed of it. It's awesome.

Oh, Ewing, do you have any idea what you've gotten yourself into?

I can't picture myself actually paying for that, but now with your comments I want to see it, with a huge bowl of pop-corn by my side.

Currently reading Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. I also just ordered Bram Stoker's Dracula (I'm kinda going through classics in a wide range of genres I love at the moment - the last one may have been triggered by Interview with the Vampire which I watched two days ago, and loved).

George, seriously, what kind of tie is that?

Having different pixel sizes makes them original, and allows for details while keeping this "8-bit" style. I really like the idea, it holds well together.

So, I'm currently reading American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, which is the book the film of the same name is based on.

...this book is sick. What Patrick Bateman does on his free time in the film is only the tip of the iceberg fully described in the book. I want to throw up.
