Cor! It was a bit good!
I like that Joss is giving his old buddy Ron Glass some work.
This show has serious potential, especially given how it runs alongside the theatrical releases. The way they incorporated Extremis was really interesting. I guess when Thor 2 comes out in a few months we'll see how much that affects the show.
Is Agents of SHIELD endangered already? Or should the thread title read "Conversation thread"?

no it's not endangered the show is going well so far
Who caught the Back to the future Reference at the end of the episode?

I've not seen it yet but perhaps the agents make jam or something?
Overnight Ratings were really good actually.
They've been pimping it like crazy, that's not so surprising. Just watch the drop-off next week.
Not so sure. All the reviews I read were pretty positive. We'll see.
I mostly dug it, myself. I agree with the Onion A.V. guy that this show is probably getting particularly micromanaged, so it might take a few episodes to flex the ice chunks off its shoulders. But on the whole, fun.
Loved the music. In-your-face hero music on television is more fun than I expected it to be.

Phew. I hate it when my conserves are full of spoilers. Thanks, Typo-Fixing Man!
Also, there's some dude with an eyepatch to see you, he wants you to join his club or something.
Oh thank god/Teague, that was niggling me.
Just saw this, hmm... not completely sold on it. Am I getting old, or does the cast appear to be a bunch of kids?

Well, the main cast that aren't Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen are in their 20s. Chloe Bennet who plays the hacker girl is 21.....
I like to give shows a few episodes to give it a fair shake, the flying car was a bit cheesy but I had fun with the show.

21?!
God damn it. I hate this getting older thing.
So. Agent Coulson. Robot or clone?

Life-Model Decoy. Calling it now.
Clark Gregson and Whedon's humor elevated this above an episode of Warehouse 13. We'll see what happens next.
Clark Gregson
No, it's not his son, it's actually Clark Gregg himself, though, I'm sure he's be happy to lean he can pull off playing his own son.
Liked the first episode. You can totally see Joss all over this.

LMD which does exist in MCU
I enjoyed it, but it does have room to improve. Loved seeing Ron Glass, and how much the cargo hold of the "bus" looks like Serenity. That's probably just how they look and I'm viewing everything thru my Firefly Fanboy Glasses. Also (paraphrased): Join us on our Journey Into Mystery; With great power comes...a bunch of other stuff.

Oh my Zarban! That's a very apt comparison.
I know I'm going to spend a lot of my time whilst watching the series expecting/hoping for the AVengers or other MU characters to turn up, and getting all annoyed when they don't.
I really hope they expand the scope of the series in the coming episodes. It feels very limited, what with the base of operations starting out in a small office rather than the helicarrier or similar. Is it always going to be this small team going on missions and working from the small big plane?
