Yeah, you don't actually have to render anything. You just import via dynamic link. SpeedGrade project directly in Premiere.

You know, Creative Cloud is *really* good now, but if you're using old methods, such as not using media encoder(:P), I can see your pain.
You actually used AE as your NLE, for fuck's sake.
Read up on what's new and what's great, and you'll improve your workflow, and speed things up, as well as save loads of hard drive space smile

If you've got Creative Cloud, install SpeedGrade. It's made for more or less that exact thing; correction and grading.

What do you mean, Brother!? Owen drools enough as it is.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that.

Well, I brought the Norwegian Wood, and Saniss brought The French Connection.

You just can't go wrong with that.

I listened to this the other day, and heard something about Sound City, and a Bond Documentary. Now, the first one isn't too hard to find, but there's a pretty sizeable chunk of Bond Docs out there. Trey, which one was it?

You need to go deeper.

Okay, screw that, I went ahead and watched instead.

Now, having only watched the first two Hobbit films prior to this, I quite enjoyed it. Didn't feel bloated, and pacing was pretty much spot on.

Of course, cutting three 3-hour long films into one 4hour21minute film should be less bloated I guess.

If you've not seen the hobbit films, or, as I, was bored after the first one, I highly recommend the Tolkien Edit.

Well, that I didn't know. I'll stop watching then.

I'm steadily watching The Hobbit: The Tolkien Edit, which is a 4:21h long super cut of all the movies.
I haven't watched The Battle of the Five Armies yet either, so I'll watch this now, and then maybe later watch all the extended editions and see for myself, but for now, I just want the story, not the bloated exposition and side-plots that are too mushy and pointless, even for a season of One Tree Hill.

But yeah, my point is, there are actually several fan edits out there. This one in particular has gotten some great reviews as well.

A psychological slasher/horror thriller.
Some kids come back to a friends lodge in the mountains, on the anniversary of said friend's twin sisters passing last year, to have one last huzzah.

Needless to say, it doesn't exactly end well.

It's set up more or less like a teenage horror flick, where you get to choose more or less the exact outcome of the characters. Ever been baffled that a character did x instead of y? Choose y and see what happens.
Hits all the right vibes, all the correct tropes, complete with jump scares and creepy crawlers, and has a brilliant cast, consisting of, amongst others, Hayden Panetierre and Peter Stormare.

I'm not even done with my first play through, but I am loving the shit out of this game.

In other news, I completed the main storyline of Assassins's Creed Vic-, ahem, Syndicate a couple of days ago, and I gotta say, anything's better than Unity, but Syndicate was a genuinely good experience. The bugs and problems from Unity were thankfully absent, the story is much more engaging, without punching the same cliches as other entries, with appealing protagonists(they're twins), and a pretty cool antagonist to boot. London in the late 1860's is beautiful, if not too sunny, and the grappling hook and horse coaches are welcome additions to the franchise. A solid 8/10, where "Black Flag" and "Assassin's Creed 2" both get perfect 10's.

Watched the first episode of Powers, and couldn't stand it. Too much exposition, too bad acting, and the VFX were pretty damn bad.

TOR isn't nearly as good as KOTOR.

..I say, without much field time in TOR. I tried it for a couple of hours, and it felt exactly like every other MMORPG. "KILL THESE WOMPRATS FOR THE GLORY OF THE SITH! ....+5XP."

Why does invid's post have a negative 1 in likes? Is that even possible?

Lighting definitely brings cinematic feel, yeah.

If lit correctly, you could easily bring a DSLR to a film set and have the film-feel on the footage.
And if lit largely incorrect, a cinema camera could produce pretty bad images.

This badboy passed 1000 views a couple of weeks ago. If you want to spread the word more and make it double that, it'd be awesome!

And then there's the guys like me, that will probably appreciate a fast-paced Trek.
Try to ignore the freak-of-the-week type of show, with 20+ episodes each season, and you probably win me over.

Then again, I was never much of a Trekkie to begin with.

He's on a 5D MkIII, IIRC.
Higher ISO might be an issue, even on that, but a relatively fast lens(50mm 1.4, for instance) should do the trick just fine.
