Fuck YEAH dude.
I've added 3 videos to the playlist. This will complete the initial course on Modeler.
Looks like it's time for me to make some more tutorials.
Sigh. I award you one point. One. Because I smiled.
Mmmm. What y'all want is that fancy boolean tool.
The fact that you made that without the boolean tool is rather impressive, though. Really good work.
Happenstance of opportunity. I would honestly dedicate a day at Disneyland to just riding it over and over, to get the full experience.
Alas, I did it once on the day I was at Disneyland post-remake, and it was a good experience. I can't lie and say they fucked it all up, I can only say "well, at least this is still a damn good ride."
Once, my good sir.
I don't know if I posted at length about it, but I was generally... impressed. Like, "okay, I'll allow it" impressed, in the face of stark hipsterdom about the old Star Tours.
I have a vintage Star Tours mug and classic ship model in my house. Star Tours is a seriously big deal for me. And yeah, they did a great job with the new ride.
I award you four obscure terminology pun points.
They changed it.
Grim face.
Nah, it was fine.
Just watched it, actually.
I have now seen Jiro Dreams of Sushi, The Invisible War, Bones Brigade, and How to Survive a Plague. Versailles is staring me in the face, but I can't pull the trigger on that one.

Great post, thanks Paul - and yeah. Serious thanks for change-casing this.
Paging Allison to thread 30033.
I'm so psyched at everyone getting onboard with this. Awesome stuff.
...
I move to nominate Trey Stokes as DIF's Nate Silver. Does anyone second the motion?
We're gonna throw up the Oscar Selection poll again this year, so we'll have a page for everyone to do their whole Oscar selection and we'll see the poll-y results.
This'll probably end up being the official thread for that, so, go nuts.
I grinned rather hard when I saw this colored Pikachu pop up on my Facebook feed.
Now it's time for TARDIS 2.0, now in technicolor.
(Q allows you to make a new surface for the polygon or choose a different one, btw. So if you already have a surface you like, you select the poly, hit Q, and the drop down will let you pick an existing surface.)
Holy crap. The Pikachu is awesome.
Freaking awesome, man. And I heartily endorsing the TARDIS being your 3D lightsaber.
So, Owen was asking me where to get started in 3D.
Since I'm insane, and also like doing tutorials, I'm now going to teach everyone how to use Lightwave. This requires absolutely no history with 3D software at all, much less Lightwave, and is intended to be an accessible ground-up starting point for getting goin' with Lightwave 3D.
Lightwave is available legally for FREE for a 60 day trial, btw. Boom.
This links you to the playlist for what's up so far, it's about an hour or so, teaching you how to use Lightwave at all, what the hell the buttons do, and starting you off on modeling and modeling theory. At the end of this chunk of videos, you will actually know how to model shit in Lightwave, and also how to teach yourself the other modeling tools.
In other words, this is enough to make you quite dangerous.
I'd love it if some of the more-bored folks around here would join with us and show your work, ask questions, get better, all of that fun stuff.
We're not gonna get in the habit of endorsing cracks, serial codes, or other warez on this hurr forum.
Just sayin.'
Looks nice, dude.
Thanks Zarban, I'll add that list to the first post for posterity.
Shabooms, shabeems.
