WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Sooo preeettty.
This is heavy!
That's what he said...
Don't worry about telling me...I already hate myself for that one.
In other news...this is awesome:
I need one of those shirts, so I can go buy that book asap.
Yep.... it's good now.
bam!
I'm in chrome btw.
EDIT: Wait...it fixeded itself.
I like the banners on the front page but they're way to far to the left. It would be nice if they were centered.
Otherwise no issues yet.
You're trying to kill me, aren't you?
Wingsuit flying is still the thing at the very top of my to do list once I'm rich.
Have you seen Grinding The Crack? Guy soaring down a mountain at ridiculous speeds usually no more than about 1-6 meters off the surface.
Assuming by saying "get off the ground" you mean happened without said beleaguerment:
Dr Parnassus.
When I started hearing things and seeing things about DP I was...excited is not the right word... filled with childlike wonderment and glee. Everything about that concept is what I would love to see done properly in film, I have more than a few ideas that pull on similar ideas and concepts myself...and one day I will get to see them to fruition... so I was incredibly excited. To me it was on a level with what I thought Inception was going to be...except more. Hmm, it's really hard to put into words... but anyways yes...Dr Parnassus.
Also...that would have meant more Heath Ledger and depending on how this wish is interpreted...an avoidance or at least a forestalling of his death. So there's that.
As for the second half. 2001.
EDIT: Actually I have a question.
Top 3 (or more if you really like me) World Wars films/series/documentaries (Not counting BoB or The Pacific).
What do you mean exploiting the thread for my research's sake? me? never!
Really great article about Tony and Banner's relationship in the movie.
That. All of that. FUCK. YES.
Doug Jones as Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged. (But I mean really, who else do you get to play Wowbagger the infinitly prolonged?)
Someone else go.
Hunger Games is the only one to buck that trend so far, I think.
Yep that entirely new Hunger Games, without any sort of pre-established fan base.
Oh wait.
I've been trying to remember what I thought of Quantum Of Solace...but I can't remember anything about it other than a couple flashes of not quite images...
I think I must have slept through the entire thing...
I should probably go rewatch it.
In that case someone else is gonna have to take this one.
Are we talking hypothetical or actual experience here?
I was actually gonna say Portal too. But I hadn't thought of Duncan Jones, that could be interesting. I would actually be muuuuch more interested in the Aperture Science side of things, more than just a "well here's something about Portals." I really like the way portal 2 handled it. Making Chell the center of it all, but this universe is just happening and existing and unfolding around her as she tries to escape.
And yeah the Halo movie just makes me sad inside
Fish eye camera mounted above the steadicam during the last shot of Hugo.
Se7en.
EDIT: Scary thing is....I can't tell if I'm joking or not.
That....is actually kinda cool. A couple of the performances leave a little something to be desired. But it looks like it could be interesting.
And it actually plays with a couple ideas that are also going on in a project I'm writing, so that should be interesting.
The more I think about this movie, the more of a problem I have with the plot. Especially the part where the doctor programs in a failsafe into the machine he used to open the portal, as well as the fact that all the aliens just seemingly died after the mothership got destroyed.
You read the abridged script too? Which btw is awesome.
Not to completely change the subject, but I was reading an article and they made an off hand comment which kinda blew my mind with ideas.
So basically the story goes, Banner gets dosed with gamma radiation, and instead of killing him, it turns him into giant green rage monster.
But...if we assume that this universe also contains mutants...as we're supposed too. What's to say Banner wasn't a mutant, whose powers were either revealed or mutated as a side effect of massive quantities of gamma radiation. Would partly explain at least why it seems nothing on the face of 3 planets can kill him. Also might explain his ability to grow and shrink at whim (The dude at the meeting of the punk mutants from X3 anyone?...actually come to think of it there's a lot of mutants whose power depends on some sort of mass creation out of thin air system...Mystique for one)
I know it has basically zero relevance to anything that actually exists in canon so far....but I thought that sounded like a freaking amazing idea and I wanted to share.
The article btw is here, but it's really barely worth the read: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/55828
