Amazon always had a weird business plan anyway.

I've posted a more in-depth write up on the Reviews board.
EDIT: The Secret Cinema people actually got in touch asking me to take the review down. Oh well, if you fancy a read I'll send it via PM.
I'd like to see it. I missed it due to being at work.

It has been a lot of fun. It took me a while to get it past the rip off stage and really develop in to my own thing.
Now it is just a matter of putting it all down in writing.
You're supposed to get past the ripoff stage?
(I did a lot of ripping off but from many varied sources so things still took on a bit of a life of their own.)
I suppose you never get past the rip off stage (No, I'll never get over Macho Grande).
But, for me, there was a point it felt like it became its own thing rather than me pulling disparate elements of stories that I like and putting them in a blender.
My first attempt at a more serious science fiction story involved a Venom like alien symbiote, and blue and red shirts to indicate rank among alien military members. It has since improved

Writing for my own science fiction universe.
A lot of the concepts and the outline of the whole book are coming together in weird, random ways, and I'm finally having the chance to write it down. It is exciting to take a lot of things that I have learned and put it all together.
Also, my eldest daughter just turned 6 and got her first bucket of Legos. Already excited to build things with her.
A sequel that is completely self-contained?
How refreshing.
I'm in the same boat as Invid.
I just don't feel the energy or the time to go see a movie. I haven't been since the Hobbit: Bo5A came out.
Question: do I need to have seen Mad Max before seeing this one?
Thoughts and prayers for John and his family.
Also, thank you, Zarban, for the update.
Sweet! Such a fascinating concept. I love tabletop games in concept, but mostly because I really want to participate in the elaborate model and world building. There are many Kickstarter projects that I would enjoy supporting due the options that are presented in the model making.
However, this tablet concept, in my opinion, allows for so much more versatility that I could really get behind that concept.
I hope it works out.
That's incredible work, Eddie.
Thank you for sharing!
Good thing my company sells water treatment.
Excuse me...
*runs to the store*
Well, I was never a fan of their water but I won't be buying any.
I keep hearing about it on the news. It's kind of scary.
ShadowDuelist is scheduling Shadowrun from the Shadows of the Shadownet.
I may have overdone the shadow play.
I think it would be fun to have different voices for NPCs, and take a bit of the strain off the GM.
And, this whole discussion reminded me of a Frasier episode. It happens to be up on YouTube.
Alright, more fun with the talented people at Man of Arms:
Great news!!!

No, too easy and predictable.
Also,
I agree, and concede the point. But, you and I (and others here) know what an RPG is. Not everyone does.
Part of it is original GM material, but part of it is mocking elements from D&D, such as the weapons list.
Obviously, the campaign evolves with the story and becomes its own thing, but how it started and where it ended are two different things-like Red vs. Blue
Though, that's technically how they started it out, as mocking the DM as basically taking a D&D campaign and adding in futuristic sounding things, such as laser swords and the like.
I'll have to listen to the podcast, but I think its more accurate than you give them credit for.
So, a bit of random video, but apparently they did a Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman reunion, with a little bit of a modern touch: http://FunnyOrDie.com/m/9btl
I was excited too...for a minute.
Oh well, still my favorite Indy film
Wait, you're not a god?
In all honesty, if I knew that i had the time consistently to be online even every once in a while, I would be there. But, life right is just too unpredictable, and I've let down people before by saying "Sure, I'll be there" and just not able to follow through. (I haven't even recorded the last part of my Hobbit podcast ).
So, I'll be trying to hang out, and encourage you all form the sidelines, but right now, with school and such, that's what I can do.
