You should post more. You're funny.
That was uncomfortable.
Yeah, Holden made that.
Holden is our leader.
Yes to all, far as I'm concerned. TV shows I'm interested to see how that goes, but if it works for everyone else, it works for me.
Updated my list, put Brave in the 10 spot, of 13.
1. Monsters, Inc.
2. Toy Story 3
3. The Incredibles
4. Up
5. Wall-E
6. Toy Story
7. Finding Nemo
8. Ratatouille
9. A Bug's Life
10. Brave
11. Cars
12. Toy Story 2
13. Cars 2
I'm gonna say you can start a review by saying "re-post from my blog" or whatever, and then paste the content and formatting. There shouldn't be threads that are just a link to something else, though.
Ha. Oh, Thor.
Welcome to the forum!
Welcome to the Reviews board. This is a place where we not only encourage, we ask you to post reviews for movies you've seen and want to talk about. We spend a lot of time talking about movies here, and we've even had reviews before over in Off Topic, but they tend to become whole conversations with snippets of opinion here and there. That's really fun. That should still happen. Half-cocked movie bullshit is a sterling tradition over in Off Topic, and not every movie you see will compel you to write a big thing.
This board is a place where you get home from the movie, wanna type up your thoughts longform, and totally do. It's a place to cook up a full review, post it, and get feedback on it. Not to mention, you know, this is a good, permalink-friendly place to share what you've written on your social networking stuff. Blah blah web 2.0.
1. The posts in this board will be your proper reviews, ideally in the realm of four or five paragraphs - or longer.
2. The thread title should be "[Title Of The Movie]" Review By [Your Name], and should be followed by one of three demarcations of spoilerhood. Spoilers if the whole thing is spoilery, No Spoilers if there's, you know, no spoilers, and Spoilers Marked if there's only a spoiler here or there and you're going to mark those spoilers in advance for readers who'll want to skip them.
3. If you want to review a movie that already has a review, make a new thread - don't post your review in the existing one. Think of this a being a board full of articles and comments sections.
4. Reviews of older movies are encouraged!
Let's see what happens.
I see all the problems we're talking about here, but they didn't bug me too much. I thought it was lovely, but lightweight. Wouldn't turn it off if I found it flipping channels.
Although I'm hoping to christ that Pixar is in all-out panic mode over there, making the best movie ever out of Monsters University, because... a twisted ankle in Cars 2 and a mis-step in Brave is really worrisome. They're at risk of losing a brand here, and it's a great brand. I don't want to live in a world without Pixar-quality Pixar films coming out, and a pair of unnecessary sequels after a pair of foibles is not reassuring.
Like I said, I just hope they're in panic, hail-mary mode. "Guys, we need to fucking kill it with this movie, we're starting over" mode.
I love this forum.
Catch 22 Live is one of my favorite live albums of all time. They cram *so* much fun into that album.
...
So. Uh. Buy it. Asshole?
Anyway, recommended for all third-wave related needs.
I posted this in the chat, but I figured I'd toss it in here, too, in case anyone was interested.
This is not perfect, by any means, but - today I was called in for jury duty. While I waited in the sad room, I started toodling around with Photoshop, basically improvising. A horizon here, an element there. Over the course of four hours, on-again-off-again, and instead of reading a book or playing solitaire... I made this interesting scifi landscape.
This is a timelapse video of me putting it together. It's kind of hypnotizing. Partially because I threw some '90s dance music on it.
The timelapse is really hypnotizing. Possibly because I threw on some '90s dance music. Additionally because I like giving you all seizures and that hypnotizes me.
I love this man.
Poor guy. We're like Lennie. We just love him too hard.
Noomi Rooney.
Or Mara Rapace, pick your favorite.
I hate when announcements go up, and then transparently try to get a conversation going. It always strikes me as patronizing.
But, seriously - got any fun Comic Con stories? What was your experience?
No sir! We're easy like Sunday morning.
Sorry for the delay, everyone, I swear to all that is holy that this thing is getting done.
Hoping to be done before July.
Yeah. You have to Ctrl-F5 a few times to reset the CSS cache.
Super8 is one of my favorite modern movies. I would've loved to have been part of the live chat. Why aren't you guys announcing your sessions anymore? I sometimes just go the live feed on a sunday afternoon only to find nothing happening.
Sorry, sir. You should follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook, I tend to just make the announcements on those these days.
