Any chance someone can put up this sign near the location?
AVENGERS!!! Man, it was fuck'n awes----
Nah, just kidding, didn't see it. I'm gonna be that one asshole that's getting too old for this shit.
Are you also a day from retirement?
I'm interested, but the timing is not quite allowing for it at the moment. School just started again, so I'm not going to commit and not be able to follow through.
I hope you can get more going, and will definitely be watching the footage
I might play the "at home" version and craft a character along with you guys
I know you mentioned in the stream that you plan on doing different vox for different verses and then trying to layer it with the chorus. Not sure if that is still the plan but that is what I remember.
Great job, Owen! I'm impressed.
My favorite line is:
"Troopers came down to storm Jakku
And I said "Hello" with a big Fuck You."
Not sure why but that made me laugh so hard.
I usually remember film lines too, but I actually never saw Three Kings so I missed it.
Actually, I have a lot of Red vs. Blue memorized too (as well as all of Emperor's New Groove) but not everyone knows them so I just laugh to myself
Sorry, it's not a criticism, it's a movie quote. I do that a lot.
Oh, I didn't realize. Not a movie quote I recognize...:)
"You said gritty city again".
I need to buy a thesaurus...
Gritty might be a poor term, but if I say "realistic" I don't think it quite carries over my meaning. I love Murdock and his attitude, as well as the fact that he is willing to put himself in harms way, and get hurt really badly but still does it. I love the fact that he knows he can get hurt, and tries to protect those around him but struggles to do right by everyone.
I don't know. Its a very character driven piece.
Every once in a while I catch something newer on the TV box. This past week, I got to watch an episode of "The Goldbergs" which is a show that riffs every 80s childhood cliche. This week involved the Princess Bride and yentas and fencing.
Having grown up with the Princess Bride and wanting to sword fight, it was kind of like my childhood, only without the fast paced jokes or my mom trying to fix up everyone. I think a lot of you guys would enjoy it.
Secondly, if you have Netflix, try out Daredevil. I just finished it up and was impressed by the way they build this world. It isn't all black and white either. The villain has a fascinating backstory and point to his efforts, even as he engages in his criminal behavior.
Its a bit darker, more grittier, and definitely doesn't feel like most Marvel productions out right now. Even if you're not a fan of comic book adaptations, it might still be enjoyable.
There's a joke in here some where...
I'm pretty experienced with this stuff, and I can get a good sense of a system by reading the rules, but even for me things don't entirely click until I've played it.
Ok, so far I've only got contact info for BDA and Botor, c'mon people. Owen? Herc? Fireproof? Teague? Eddie? Don't leave me hangin'.
My first introduction to D&D was 3.5 edition. The DM had pre-generated us some level 1 characters, but forgot to bring his core rulebook along, so we couldn't even give the rules a quick read to know what was up. He did his best to explain the rules to us, handed out the characters, then threw us straight into Tomb of Horrors. In laymans terms, this is like deciding to take swimming lessons for the first time, so they sail you out into the middle of the ocean, kick you off the boat, and scream at you to tread water. We didn't get very far. Somehow I still had a fantastic time.
Working on adding you. Also, I don't mind reading up on the world, so the materials are very much appreciated.
Also, SD, tried to add you on Google hangouts. Should be getting a message from Erich.
Thanks, BDA.
Also, thank you, Boter. It is definitely something I want to try to do, but if I cannot, I don't a) want to hang you guys up and 2) miss out on the opportunity to learn from you guys.
I mean, I can learn, but I'm sure it will be more fun with you all

As far as I know that's the plan. I'm walking through things right now, getting a rough idea down that we can go through and fix and finalize tomorrow.
Plus we'll probably end up doing a bunch of random stuff, I doubt we'll be ready to go after tomorrow though. Considering we'll be down at least one person for sure. *glares at Fire*
Yep, all my fault
In all seriousness, I usually work until 7 (PST) on Mondays so I was only hoping you would still be running by the time I'm off and have my computer up and going.
Have to work on video capabilities as well.
Shadow, are you planning on archiving the video for those who are trying to keep up (read: for Teague)?
Quick bump for a fun pic taken by an astronaut:
Story here: http://www.dailytimesgazette.com/most-i … form/5105/
If I were an astronaut, I would do this. That 's all
And, of course, I have to work until 10 (PST) that Monday...I normally don't
I will be doing some reading. Thank you for sharing all the info of the world.
I know I've already said my goodbyes to the podcast etc etc, but I'm feeling pretty damn down tonight and just wanted to say the podcast is really comforting to me when I'm feeling down. So thanks for the positive feelings. The podcast could never of have a better name then Friends in Your Head
For some reason, whenever I listen to them talking about Star Wars, it helps me smile.
I listened to Star Wars Again and every time I try to write comments on it, I can't remember what they were. Just that I had fun listening to it.
Thanks, guys!
I agree with the possible workaround.
Also, and this might sound odd, but several graphics in The Old Republic video game that are rotary in nature, and turn to show the progress of loading.
Not sure if that is a reasonable graphic design. Just kind of throwing it out there.
Fantastic! As excited as I am over the new teaser, this is a lot of fun!
Thank you for sharing, Alex. Enjoyed the music too.
Do you guys know where it was shot?
And the fresh scent of pine.

The future humans wanted to engineer a situation where the present humans would significantly advance their science and culture. The point wasn't just to save their lives, because if it was they could've just stopped the blight. They wanted to advance the human race.
But the future humans are already advanced. If we had a time machine now, why would we feel compelled to go back to the Palaeolithic and help them along? "Here's how you smelt metal you numbskulls. Are here's how you plant seeds. And you can domestic x,y,z species but not these ones. Now stop hitting each other over the head with clubs and get civilized.
Because it's a closed-loop thing. If they don't help the past humans become advanced, then they'll die off and never become the future humans.
Two things:
First, don't you need one of these:
Secondly,
I think this kind of describes the effect (not perfectly, mind you):
Just started watching this and I am blown away by it. It certainly has excellent production values and the acting is an interesting mix of drama and comedy. Not 100% sold on Foggy but his interaction with Murdock is great chemistry.
Also, and please bear in mind I am only two episodes in, the slow reveal of the villains is an interesting build up to the threat. I have found the character building and action to be incredibly well done for a TV show, and very engaging.
I'm curious to see how this season unveils itself, and have no problem with the lack of the "classic" Daredevil look, yet. I see different hints as to what leads in to the costume, and that is enough for me, right now.
It definitely as an extended "Batman Begins" vibe that feels like it is allowing the character to organically grow in to his super hero persona without all the fanfare. I'm quite surprised by the layering of this show, from nods to the first Avengers film, to all the world building of the criminal underground and the main characters starting from the beginning.
I don't enjoy the flashbacks to Matt with his dad, but still well done, especially as far as child actors go.
I was surprised but enjoyed the grittier feel of the film, and the more realistic feel to the combat, even for a comic book adaptation. Murdock bleeds quite a bit as he develops his fight style, and we see a lot of brutal, bone breaking, moves.
Very interesting, and if you have not seen it, I hope you get the chance too.
Monday will largely depend on the time, for me. I'm PST but usually not available until after 8 or so.
As for setting, I'm not committed to any one idea. I just like a fun world to write original characters in.
2-3 hours is more reasonable, in my opinion.
