My vote would be for Rear Window - one of the finest examples of visual storytelling in existence.

At least that's how I remember it. I was also sitting on a golden throne eating ice cream that makes me thinner.

I also remember being very handsome through the whole ordeal.

Hey, remember when we used to debate things like whether video games qualified as art?

Jokes are fun.

I am primarily invested in Trey, Dorkman, Teague, Ryan-or-Brian, but notsomuch the others (sorry, others). So for me, the "regulars" are already diluted with "guests", so I see zero problem.

I blame the Navy Seahawk helicopter co-pilot's Navy submarine helmsman twin brother for not calling him and explaining everything.

Trey, is it too late to shoot more material? I just had a brilliant idea to add 7 minutes to the movie.

I blame the director for not giving the actors the freedom to improv and thus bring full versmillitude to the Navy-Seahawk-helicopter-hunting-a-Virginia-class-submarine experience.

Well, hey, the helicopter could've been moving from one search grid to another at the moment the movie cut to it.

And I did like his point that, of all the things one could use to search for a rogue submarine and/or whale, a helicopter is well over on the "less effective" end of the scale.

Not actually, aircraft are used in various ways with various tools to help hunt submarines. They can drop payloads like depth charges, sonar buoys, and torpedoes (as in Hunt For Red October) and also have sensors like magnetic anomaly detectors and surface mapping radar that can detect submarines. There's also the not inconsequential possibility of just spotting the fucker with a bird's eye view if it's at periscope depth and conditions aren't too bad.

There's also aircraft specifically designed to hunt submarines, like the P-3 Orion, which is like a regular airplane, just with a big ol' dick to slap submarines with.

Anybody have access to a copy of this or a link to a reliable torrent? It's time to show the nephew Star Wars and the only copies in the house are the special editions.

Just for the record, I've seen all the Lethal Weapon movies, the latter ones even in the theater.

I just listened to the review for this on AirTalk yesterday. When Larry Mantle first introduced the film he said it was directed by Baughman and Johnathan O'Hara. But when he went to say O'Hara's name, it sounded like he started to say "Jessica" before he caught himself.

Anyway, I'm sorry to say I'm not sure if an official recourse does exist, other than to simply make sure the story gets told in the right professional circles. It's a small town and all that and eventually repercussions will land. Unsatisfying, yes, but it does sound like the other options proposed will only bring more hurt to your friend and, as unfair as it is, I agree that if she makes a stink, she won't come off in the most flattering of light.

But that's definitely one to add to the register of "Great Stories of Hollywood Fuckery."

There's a Lord of the Rings joke there, but I've got other things to do right now.

You can argue until the end of time about what something is or isn't, whether this is Harry Potter or that is Star Trek and on and on and on. And it's a meaningless question.

The only worthwhile question is, "is it worth reading/watching?"

Greg, read more than half of the first chapter.

Trey, watch more than half of a first season episode.

We done here?

/seriously, it got a lot better.

So long, Mr. Kershner. However else history may remember it, you're the reason Star Wars will be remembered as a saga and not just a movie.
