I have mixed feelings about this short. I have a few buddies who worked on it, and I think a lot of the FX are really brilliantly adapted and executed.
But it's also a bit...boring...unstimulating...for a short film based on a game like Portal.
What it feels like is that someone started telling the creators about portal but they only got so far as "So there's this chick and there's gun that can shoot portals..." before they went "OMG! Thats awesome, lets make a movie about that!" Completely forgetting about what actually makes Portal awesome.

Gods damned I enjoyed myself. It was everything it needed to be, a near perfect balance of camp and a good movie.
Although...just starring at Jason Momoas glistening body for 2hrs would probably elicit a similar response.

I don't think so, I always got the impression that limbo was something different than just another dream, almost like the mind entering into a coma state completely detaching it from the dream levels around it. That's why people can build anything they want, no matter who's dreaming it (Mahl and Cobb when they both first got there). It's like a separate dimension inside the mind.
That was my impression of it.
It's been a while seen I actually sat down and watched this one so I might be a little off, but if I remember correctly. Saito dies, goes to limbo, and because of the time dilation effects he then spends 80 years there in the time it takes for Cobb to get stabbed by Mal and die, then fall into Limbo. I assume then from that point, they are both in Limbo together, just in separate places, and the beach/ fortress where Cobb washes up was created by Saito during the preceding 80 years.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Avalon - What a wonderfully strange little polish film. I really quite enjoyed it, definitely not gonna be everyone's cup a tea, but worth checking out.
