Why the fuck are we talking about Dune?
Obviously, the story doesn't represent Middle-Earth as a whole, I just wanted to know if more existed elsewhere and if so, where. Thanks for the spot on answers though.
Thanks not only for the ridiculously entertaining day but also for a bit of inspiration. This commentary of biblical proportions gave me the motivation to accomplish anything in the confines of a chair, including the 10 page research paper I wrote about the Electoral College over the course of Sunday. Down in Front: Making lengthy daunting shit seem possible since 2009.
Also, I have two burning questions about the LOTR saga.
1. Why doesn't the ring turn Sauron invisible like it does with everyone else who wears it?
2. Are the big badass creatures like the Watcher In The Water, the Balrog and Shelob one of a kind monsters or are they part of a larger species? If they are part of larger species, where the fuck are the rest of them during this story?
Yeah, I don't like killing the secondary villain off-screen. That's some bullshit.
I never read the books. What the fuck is a Bombadil?
Posting these for the Crippler and anyone else who will get it.
Holy shit this looks amazing.
It's Black Dynamite meets Team America.
To be fair, as comic guy, I never liked super hero groups. Justice League and Avengers, with the exception of a couple runs, have been boring. It's exhausting having END OF THE WORLD problems to solve every week, and yet unless there is one, there's no reason to hang out together.
The exception is the X Men, who come together because of persecution, and see the school as a safe haven. That can create interesting stories. Not, "We're rig and powerful so let's hang out together and punch space in the face until it bleeds."
MEANWHILE AT THE HALL OF JUSTICE
How can you not love these guys? They fought a bunch of bad guys who hung out in a giant Darth Vader helmet swamp base. And they gave us such icons like the Wonder Twins and those politically correct additions who were only there to diversify the cast.
I wanna see Iron Man fight a giant fucking mech dragon. I don't care if it's without substance. I want it.
Breaking Bad. If you can do one for Terra Nova, you can do one for something on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. I wanna hear you guys take apart and behold this masterpiece of television.
Well yeah, that's a big thing but first figure out what materials you want so you can go "Hey, we could use a and b during this portion" instead of saying "How the fuck are we going to get a and b for this portion".
Keep me up to date on what you guys wanna do for that filming thing. Make a list of shit you need and want for the production like set pieces, props, computer programs; whatever. I'll let you know what I can do for each thing.
James on the top, B on the bottom.
Mask Of The Phantasm is the best pre-Nolan Batman film. You can't prove me wrong.
Trey or Dorkman should know the answer to that question.
If you're a fan of Episode I
After briefly talking to Eddie today about it, I have to think it would make a phenomenal commentary with varying view points. I'm on the side of the fence that thinks it's a fine film and deserved a sequel, Eddie and many others absolutely hated it.
Oh no...
