I'll believe it when I see it twenty years from now.
Is all of that background stuff true? I didn't know that stuff. Very interesting.
It's the button with the question mark.
Ask your questions, I guess, the Intermission is just the story of how it got made, not the actual plot so much.
Do give spoiler warnings, though.
Oh. Crap.
Okay, doing it now.
Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premiere are your best options at this point. For a decade the answer would have been Final Cut, but that's not something you wanna start learning now, it's already out the window.
I use Premiere because of its seamless integration with Photoshop, After Effects, and Audition. *shrug* Avid systems are the standard for most pro editing suites these days.
I HEARTILY APPROVE OF THIS THREAD AND REQUIRE MORE PICTURES OF SPACE
You comin' to LA, sir?
The Dark Knight Rises, Looper, and Prometheus.
Awesome. Welcome to the forum!
You know, Trey did a fun little short film for the 48 Hour Film Challenge about fish.
I'm gonna write Mister Perfect tonight.
Hooray for Spork.
I'm glad you caught this now, before iTunes noticed. Fixed.
*throws you some karma*
You guys liked the show, right?
Welcome back good sir. You're already one of the banners, so, Fancy.
That was perfect. At first you're thinking "oh, great, another one of these." Then you're thinking "the music choice is a little weird." And then you start grinning.
Photography was good, smart call going black and white to avoid tricky color correction. I have no critiques off the top of my head, that was just a nifty little short.
Great job, glad you've become post-y-er.
Oldboy has come up before. We might do an episode of non-commentary discussion of it.
I think Pan's is the only genuinely foreign movie we've done, in terms of language. Plenty of British films, but they don't count.
The movie is on iTunes now. I highly recommend you buy the DVD, but if you insist on going through iTunes, PM me and I might be able to hook you up with some commentaries.
Some really impressive stuff on here. I can't believe you did ninety minutes of sound design that quickly.
I thought that too!
Thanks to Holden for doing even more coding to make the forum sexy.
Basically, we'll have a big pool of random banner images. Each banner links to the related project thread. Unless we're specifically asked to remove one, they probably won't be removed from rotation, we'll just keep adding as cool projects are added.
How to get your project on a banner: do something cool. Unfortunately, it's entirely up to me if it's cool. What kind of cool project it is doesn't matter - we have everything from shorts to demo reels to Avant's bad-ass facehugger in the pile - the stuff that makes me proud to know you guys gets a banner.
Cool, huh? COMMUNITY! I only made ten to start, there's definitely gonna be more already posted that don't have a banner. Feel free to nominate.
Currently up:
Round two:
Round three:
Round four:
Round five:
Yup. Tomorrow at noon.
