And I still say you guys should do something Muppet related. The Great Muppet Caper is probably the worst but I love the scene where they are all on bikes. I watch it just for that.

NO, no no no no no no, you are mistaken sir.

The Muppet's Wizard of Oz....the worst piece of shit conceivable, with a grand total of zero redeeming features. Please notify the correct people to have this egregious error remedied.

Well it was maybe one every other season, but yeah basically.

Hehe, thanks dude!

As far as the last panel goes, the smaller (green) plants are from a blender greenhouse website, that makes these kinds of things for people to use. But in reality they are fairly simple to make (Just a texture on a plane) I was just running so short on time I didn't even have time to make that much. But otherwise everything else is mine (Except the mountain and sky matte painting, those are images from a CC website).

So over the last two months as part of school, I've been working on the first couple pages of a comic book (teaming up with a writer from the writing course). And this is the result. It's only the first three pages, but it was fun.

Enjoy!

But also that the songs were dumb, and the singing mediocre.

That's why I loved it. When the episode started I had no clue about it's musically aspects, so when they came up it was like Walters Brown Betty addled mind just decided to sing this little portion of the story. I loved it, and the fact that it wasn't some rip roaring Broadway showstopper just added to it.

Hehe, yeah, as much as the other stuff is cool, that noir episode is propbably the best 40 mins of TV I have seen in a long while, combing two of my favorite genres, I mean c'mon.

Feel like sharing any of those brain pickings? I was curious myself. The best I've got so far is a photo mapped 3D model with fully 3D additions comp'd onto a custom shot live action plate.

If it makes you feel any better, part of the arc of the show's first, oh, four or five seasons is the team making stupid (in retrospect) mistakes, learning from them and not making them again.

Yeah, there was this whole thing with killing a few of their so-called gods and things just went down hill from there. Needless to say Earth did not exactly make a good first impression on the universe, or second or third really.

Shh, Vidinas working for them, that's the only explanation.

Just finished season 2 (After watching all episodes of both seasons in a period of 3 days, yah...) I gotta say I'm diggin on it for the most part, but I'm afraid that most of that is simply an attachment to the actors and characters.

Looking at it, I'm afraid that as a complete and distinct story it is falling apart at the seams. The through lines are picked up and dropped faster than I can count, major plot points are picked up and dropped (oh and did anyone else notice the wonderfully inexplicable zombiefication of Charlie halfway through season 2 without any explanation, just so they could air a "lost" episode?)

My mind is just buzzing with so much fringe right now, I just need to get it out there and see what other people think. It's sad because I want so much to love the shit outta this show and so far it's only letting me get to be a "good friend".

Anyways, discuss.

yeah, that one was pretty bad... even on the Stargate scale, that wasn't great.

200 is an amazing piece of work unrivaled by modern television. it is also the sequel (of a sort) to the 100th episode.

An advantage of being an American is our own history is the easiest to learn in the whole damn world.  We had a war with England and became a country and then we had a war with ourselves and stayed a country and then we had a war with Germany and Japan and won, the end.   The rest is just cars, rock and roll, and a moon landing.

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure Canadian history is a little simpler.

A shit ton of different explorers landed all over the place, they fucked with the Natives, white man took over, then a bunch of dates when the provinces and territories joined and then a few small revolutions here and there (Mostly the metis whining), plus us kicking the Americans ass a couple of times and then a shit ton of Premiers who no one remembers.

We have a very low key history not to mention we have about a hundred years less of it than you guys do.

ALthough I will admit, I barely know much about my own history (Mostly cause it's very much all the same) let alone a ton about other countries. I could probably walk you through the broad strokes of the various major wars, but outside of that I am unfortunately ignorant of a lot.

Well probably my most recent can be seen here.

I spent weeks getting the script ready, and I still vote that it's one of the best I've ever written.

If you happen to be interested, you can read it here. I actually wouldn't mind some feedback on it.

Basically it was just a combination of conflicting ideas within the team (both of which being headed up by brutally stubborn people (me included)) and being in way over our heads leading to a massive time crunch which lead to compromises that no one liked and pretty much completely destroyed what I had wanted it to be.

That's a shame, Farscape, for all it's camp is actually a pretty decent piece of sci-fi/fantasy. And I mean it's not really a "Henson" production in the typical use of the term, the creatures and stuff are actually pretty cool but otherwise it's just a cool piece of sci-fi.

Invid: Have you ever seen Farscape, it's somewhat similar. The cast is pretty much in  constant rotation (or at least the secondary characters for the most part.) and hey you know Muppets in Space, so woot for that! (And we also get to see our friends Ben Browder and Claudia Black again!)

Yeah they did, well sort of. It was one of the last episodes of the season (Basically they found out they were cancelled, and were like, "fuck" so they just did something completely wild and out there to finish it off.), they did an entire episode in the style of a CSI episode.

It was actually a damn good impersonation and a damn good episode.

Season 5: Episode 19: Vegas, if you're interested.

Nah, the execs were once again being bastards. they canceled Atlantis like a bitch because they didn't want it interfering with Universe. So we're once again left wanting on another great TV show canceled before it's time.

There were talks of doing a movie to wrap it all up, but I haven't really heard anything that lends a whole lot of hope to that actually happening.

So I found this rather interesting article in some random perusal of the interwebs and thought it might interest some of you on here, if not as a legitimate point-of-view, then hell I'm sure it's good for a laugh of two.

I don't know nearly enough about Spanish political history to know how much of what he's saying is bullshit, but if anyone has that kind of knowledge I'm sure this should be interesting.
