Um.....I kinda like CPK. The Field Greens salad and their seasonal Asparagus soup are kinda rad. Keep in mind, California doesn't have specific pizza recipe to emulate. It's more the ingredients (Avocado on everything!) that make it Californian.
Worth noting: Neither of those things are pizza.
Was possessed with the urge to make something on Saturday morning. Needed to lose a day in a new project. I go running around the Hollywood Reservoir sometimes, and always really liked the art deco slab-serif lettering on the dedication plaque at the Mulholland Dam.
So I made it into a font. Which is something I have never done before. It has issues, but for a first attempt at anything majorly typographical, I quite like it. I'll probably be revising it over the week, so please, criticize away, doubly so if you're of a graphical persuasion.

All I have to say about working in/ moving to L.A., is have something lined up before you head out there.

Just thought, if you shift your lens on the film from perspective to self-preservation, does the destruction of the gate make more sense? Maybe? Will have to think about it more.

Saw it a couple years ago. The first half was intense and interesting enough to hold my interest, but after like 50 minutes the movie fell down almost a literal rabbit hole and became something completely different. That's when it lost me.
If by ages you mean seconds it was about 45 ages.
Change it to my address. I'd put Sans Soleil in the Top 10 and knock Citizen Kane into the teens, but out of the films I've seen this is a pretty solid list.
