Nuts, right? Sure it's seven years old, but it's still world-class software.

Way to go Forbes, thought you were the kind of publication that would, you know, check on something like this first before vomiting a blog post.

Elephant Bar is no good.

I'm partial to Granville down the street.

I love that this thread is now about places to eat in Downtown Burbank.

Recorded a cover of A Level Incomplete, singing an octave above the original, at Teague's recommendation. Botched a measure and one word, but deal with it. I can't even play piano. Or sing.

Wait so Dave is just Stuart Townsend Shorthair.

Um.....I kinda like CPK.  The Field Greens salad and their seasonal Asparagus soup are kinda rad.  Keep in mind, California doesn't have specific pizza recipe to emulate.  It's more the ingredients (Avocado on everything!) that make it Californian.

Worth noting: Neither of those things are pizza.

Was possessed with the urge to make something on Saturday morning. Needed to lose a day in a new project. I go running around the Hollywood Reservoir sometimes, and always really liked the art deco slab-serif lettering on the dedication plaque at the Mulholland Dam.

So I made it into a font. Which is something I have never done before. It has issues, but for a first attempt at anything majorly typographical, I quite like it. I'll probably be revising it over the week, so please, criticize away, doubly so if you're of a graphical persuasion.

Eddie, would you trade a 12x12 print for a print of some art from your comic?

I just hit #200, and I'm considering this the informal end of the series. Yay! This third-party site lays them out pretty well if anyone wants to see them all in a good place.

If we can put it off until March I would be happy to get back on the couch for Prometheus.  Such a missed opportunity.

All I have to say about working in/ moving to L.A., is have something lined up before you head out there.

In counterpoint, I came out with zero prospects, was working within six weeks, and have been gainfully employed whenever I've wanted.

Just thought, if you shift your lens on the film from perspective to self-preservation, does the destruction of the gate make more sense? Maybe? Will have to think about it more.

Honestly I just wanted to post this poster from the restoration a couple years ago, it's one of my favorite movie posters ever:

Saw it a couple years ago. The first half was intense and interesting enough to hold my interest, but after like 50 minutes the movie fell down almost a literal rabbit hole and became something completely different. That's when it lost me.

If by ages you mean seconds it was about 45 ages.

Change it to my address. I'd put Sans Soleil in the Top 10 and knock Citizen Kane into the teens, but out of the films I've seen this is a pretty solid list.

The Sino- prefix can stand for China the same way Anglo- stands for England.

Yeah! They turned out pretty good. And we learned to hang with a level and real life floss guide layers. Here's some newer ones. Again, selects, reverse chronology since last post.

Some new ones! Selects since the last group. Reverse chronological order.

Picking up a copy of Genuine Fractals (what is it called now? Perfect Resize?) to scale up some of the older, smaller ones for printing, we'll see if that works out. Good news is that I might be able to make even bigger prints at some point.
