Man, I want to trim the hell out of this

Sorry, I'll be at work. Maybe next time?

That's disappointing. Steam is pretty much responsible for saving PC gaming as a viable thing.

I'd prefer to not stream 38GB over the internet.

With Zarban's footage going in, it's time for a status update.

  • There have been some minor tweaks to the above cut, but nothing significant or performance based

  • Audio has been exported and uploaded to the FTP server. Other than the looping Teague requested above, it's apparently fine to work with

  • I'll re-export the video for Teague to make pretty-like, which will also go up on the /final directory of the FTP server

  • I'm diving head-first into AE from this end to begin masking windows. The masking bit I'm all over, the figuring-out-how-to-select-parts-of-a-massive-comp-to-pre-comp is a far more daunting challenge

Once the new footage is in, I'll upload the final premier pro file to the FTP server as well. With source footage, exports, and what have you, the project files are currently at the 38GB mark with 2600 files. I don't really know the best way to store any of this for future play, other than sticking everything on a USB stick, and posting it to Teague.

Thoughts?

Gaming?
Hit me up on Steam.

Some of the early stuff I have to hand. None of this really counts as a project - the first would actually be Road Trip.  neutral

Zarban - Could you please put up the following?

Teague, if you're happy with this cut I'll dump the audio out. You might need to give me the user name and password for the FTP again as it looks like the previous group login has been removed.

Audio level adjustments and pans have been removed, as has the music and titles. End sequence remains unlocked as it needs a kinetic relationship with the score, which is yet to be attached. Ping me if you need more material.

Unspoilered, as this is basically the cut. Resolution is still low as there's more work to do and the film isn't finished. Feedback appreciated as always.

I would bet against it. Valve isn't that stupid and inconsiderate towards their long-time fans (which is a huge community).

You may be too young to remember, but Valve did exactly the same thing with half-life 2, and Steam.

Half life 3. Wanna bet its exclusive to steam machines?

Hi Zarban, if you still have access to the FTP, feel free to upload - I'll just switch the source files.

Could you cover window replacement for fun and profit, and Speedgrade - because we don't have DaVinici Resolve?

I'm happy to hand over, if you are willing to put together some more training stuff so we can play along at home.  big_smile

Think of it as penance for being 18 months tardy?

Pavlich's entrance is in, we just don't see him sit down.

Regarding your side note, that's actually made me reconsider the sequence before the poem. I think anything outside suburbia should be cut to make the shots in the final sequence more impressive. Norway is stunning, but if we've seen 9 minutes of stunning, your opening the door has less impact.

When the upload completes, version seven lives below.

SPOILER Show

Notes are appreciated. To kick them off I've a couple of points to query.

  • The poem - is it working?

  • End sequence - it's long, does it need to be tighter?

The Premiere Pro project file for version seven follows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vhq1gh072tgmk … eme.prproj

Also, I'm going to flat-out buy CS6. Cloud is great, but I don't want to pay by the month.

What is the deal with credits? Can we just crib from existing productions, or are there things we should be aware of (for example attributing a co-writer vs someone who wrote an earlier version) before copying the format?
