I've not finished listening yet (as I'm typing 'I Am The Doctor' is being played...awesome), but on the topic of underrated scores, I'd really recommend James Horner's Casper score.

EDIT: In regard to the best non-Spielberg/Lucas score by John Williams, I have to go with Home Alone. It might be a childhood thing, but damn I love that score.

I'm happy for some vocal stuffs.

That was awesome, really nice voice.

Get laying down some vocals guys! We can all become rock stars and conquer the world.

I was thinking '80's montage' when coming up with the lyrics, so I'm down with this.

Awesome job man, I really dig it. If you ever need any 'Angry Young Man' vocals, then let us know. I've not really done any singy type stuff in a very long time, so it is something I would like to get back in to.

Sure thing. I just listened to it without the music and GarageBand's 'Male Rock Vocals' setting...it's horrible  tongue.

Is .aif good for you?

I was sitting around rather bored in the edit suite, whilst I'm waiting for footage to finish transcoding and such. So, I see a mic lying around and decide to have a fuck about. That culminated in me putting some vocals on 'Engage'. They're not great by any standards, but it was a fun deviation from watching a progress bar.

So many choices! Any way to get some sort of polling thing set up?

I think it was Teague that mentioned doing an episode about their first short films during the livestream today and that got me getting out my first short 'Paul vs. Lewis'. So I thought, 'Hey, let's put this online and try and get the other DIF-folk to do the same'.

So, without further ado - Paul vs. Lewis!

Nothing fancy, I know. But it was good fun to do and taught me a lot about the basics of filmmaking. I couldn't use any sort of NLA back then as I had no way of capturing it on to my computer, so all the editing was done in-camera. Throughout the years, I've occasionally gone back to it and done some special editions with some colour grading, muzzle flashes and a soundtrack.

So go and find your oldest material you can find and put it up on here!

I might be picking up a Macbook Pro sometime soon and I just thought I'd hijack this thread to ask any multi-Mac users the best way to keep everything in sync. Ideally I'd like the MBP to just be a portable version of my desktop with all the same content, but I'm not sure how feasible that is.

Today will be a day long remembered, it has seen the death of the VFX industry and it will soon see the dawn of the Down In Front web-series.

Great videos guys.

Does anybody remember Rock DJ?

Robbie Williams - Rock DJ (2000)

Directed by: Vaughan Arnell

Not so much a fan of Robbie Williams he does have a bunch of cool videos under his belt. How do you interpret this video? Is it about ego? Is it about bearing one self in front of one's lover? Honesty?

Trivia:
- The video's ending (beginning with Williams taking off his skin) was cut by most music channels around Europe.
- "Rock DJ" won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Special Effects.

I loved that when I was younger, although I do take the more literal approach to it. He's simply just taking off more and more in attempt to impress.

As a Guns N' Roses fan, I'm bound to bring up their trilogy of videos based on a short story by the bands tour manager.

Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry

Guns N' Roses - November Rain

Guns N' Roses - Estranged

As far as I can recall, it was the newer episodes that tended to do that a lot more.
