Are we doing just TNG, or TNG and the abrams movies, or ...?

I do want to do these but  I don't want this to turn into Star Trek Month so maybe in a week or so

So The Extended Edition is a podcast that happened when several forum members got together and said "The forums great, but it could be a bit more... Podcast-y" Every week we talk about... pretty much the same things as on the forum but more vocal.

We've taken a bit of time to find our feet but I'm really enjoying seeing where the show is going.

As I said at the start of the thread, I do shift work so I can't set aside the same time each week. That being said we have managed to record at the same time for three weeks straight.

As Tom says we are trying to make this work for different time zones, but I'm afraid suggesting we record at 3am or directly after I've said I'm working is not a way we can work.

The last shot of the series made me cheer then groan.

My problem with this episode, and the idea that there was a story arc this season (There was none) is the distinct lack of story structure.

saying "Who is the impossible girl" every episode and having Clara jump into a Trapcode plug-in does not work compared to say, the series 3 arc. We've got the obligatory "lets repeat a phrase" in "Mr Saxon" The Face of Boe's message and then Professor YANA repeating The Doctor's pocket watch trick.

You can follow what's happening from the information you've been given rather then being shown things that dont make sense followed by a character turning into a leaf!

Look at Fight Club, the story makes sense the first time you watch it but when you go back looking for the twist it still works. Moffats writing lately feels like an M. Night Shyamalan film that acts really smug about having a twist.

don't get me wrong I liked the fan wank this week but it felt hollow.
