I think you severely underestimate the nerd power at force on this forum.
-Battlestar
-Blade Runner
-Firely
-Doctor Who
-TNG
-Star Wars
-Buffy/Angel
I would disagree with that sentiment, immensely. It might be true for some people, but those aren't the people you want as your heroes anyways.
As weird as it might sound, there are a couple people I've grown to respect immensely, more than I ever could have thought because of what they're doing on twitter (I mean, generally it's twitter used as a channel point for news about all the cool shit they're doing elsewhere, but point stands). Just off the top of my head the amount of charity work that Misha Collins does (Yes, the Angel guy from Supernatural), plus planning/hosting GISHWHES every year that brings together people all around the globe, it's awesome, and Misha is always an incredible cool and humble guy. And I'd know about none of that without twitter.
And hey, failing all hope in the people you look up to, there's always the innumerable amount of joke accounts that are always good fun.
It's not much, but it's the best I could do considering I didn't even know I was recording in the first place.
I love Taiko drumming, any instrument that needs to be played with a baseball bat has got my okay really. But pair that with Blue Man and you've got something amazing.
Ducks and covers before Bo..."I made a Mirror's Edge fanfilm"...ter finds this.
I'm saddened I did know of this things existence before now.
Sounds like you guys had...fun. As usual.
I've never used it for music, but I've been using the Blue Yeti for all my stuff for the past 2 years and I've never had an issue with it.
Are all of you guys still good to go for tomorrow?
Just... just gonna leave this here.
*puts down*
*Backs out of the room slowly*
*Runs*
And now I'm picturing Clara as a Talaxian for some reason.
And oddly, not gonna lie. Little bit better.
*exasperated sigh*
Not to go around stirring up apathy or anything, but a quick look at Wikipedia shows 5 episodes written by Moffat, one co-written by Moffat and two by Peter 'Kill The Moon' Harness. Sigh.
Give me a second here. I've been rehearsing for this.
*cough*
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH
Uuuuuuuuuugh. If you were trying to convince me the show had gotten better, this was not the way to do it.
I'm really actively starting to hate Clara, there's some cool stuff in there, but I still don't know how this show can pick itself up again without getting rid of her.
Guys. Not to be the asshole, but spoiler tag that shit or move it to the spoiler thread for JW please.
Alright man. No worries. You probably just saved the lives of an entire elvish orphanage or something. Knowing us. Next week then. Full party hype!
The pure, absolute, unwavering glee of Simon Pegg in this video just makes me so happy. Plus you know, everything else amazing about this.
Man, haven't man a new thread in ages. Feels weird man.
...
ANYWAYS.
As most of you probably know I do a lot of work with a local improv and sketch comedy group here in Red Deer called Bullskit Comedy; short films, motion graphics, videography, things of that ilk. Well, coming this next season they are moving into their own space, and have launched an indiegogo campaign to help cover some of the costs of renovating the space. (*wait for the collective groan of people who hate crowd funding to pass*)... right, so I made the campaign video for them (Written on friday, shot on tuesday, edited thursday night if you're curious), so if for nothing else you should check it out for that.
Obviously this is a very local thing, and I don't expect a whole lot of you would be interested in helping out, but if you have a couple bucks to spare, I'm sure they'd appreciate it. So on with the link:

And cause I can't pass up the opportunity this is the video I made with them for last years annual fundraiser, that I'm particularly proud of (Not written by me):
More wondering how it works when you're actually shooting. I've heard rumours the interface is pretty clunky/crashy. Just curious how much of it's true, and how it actually works as a movie making machine.
Any updates on this Tom? Was just doing some dreaming and looking into Blackmagics cinema line, and remembered this thread.
Holy shit dude that was awesome.

Well, having lived in both countries, Australians are the wusses because they all have air conditioning. Poms have to endure the real 35 degrees without any protection, like real men.
28C with zero wind on the walk to and from work today. UUUUGGGGGHHH. So over this.
Pretty much all of last week we were hovering around 30C. I think we peaked at 35 or something one day. It's cooled off a bit this week, but it's been like misting constantly and still hovering around 20C. Hot and muggy and bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhgghhh. Go away weather.
