Right now? I love it - Icona Pop.

Shut up.

Blocking body, refining arms. Really want to shade this - hard to provide dimension to shapes without shadow.
Done for the night - need fresh eyes.

Much of it is in the fullness of the cheeks. As you get older the pads of fat in the face sag, jowls get more pronounced, cheeks hollow.

Also eyes.

I see what you mean, but if the proportions get too normalised I think the character starts to look a little too young. I'll finish building the components of the pose, maybe replace the hair, and take another look.

Rigidity could be from the ears being a little too high, making it feel like her head is tilted down and throwing the balance.

Better, cheers!

Bigger? I like your paint. Colour has never been something I could do.

Small update. Symmetry, nose and mouth have been reduced. Obsessing over the pose at the moment, not happy with how rigid and lifeless it is. To be refined.

No, I think it's going to be pretty great (assuming it's all locked in).

Wow.

Maybe not, but I don't think most parents have access to peer-reviewed gender studies papers on the films their children watch, either.

A 10 minute TED video is not the solution to a problem, all it can do it make the viewer examine their own mind on a subject. I do think there's a profitable vector in a non-aligned child development media rating which could be pursued.

you're left with this Gladwelly psuedo-intellectual popcorn chicken morsel of "Hey maybe men are assholes because Star Wars."

I didn't take away that message, what I heard was "pay attention to the messages your kids are learning from what they watch".

This. I heard (Teague edit: title of a movie we've done here at DIF)

SPOILER Show
cabin in the woods has a twist,
now I don't want to see it - it's ruined, the whole viewing will be me anticipating what's coming. Won't enjoy it at all.

Yes but you said it with a Norwegian accent, which nobody understood.
