1st Doctor - An Unearthly Child (as it's the first story)
2nd Doctor - Tomb of the Cybermen (great introduction to both Troughton and the Cybermen)
3rd Doctor - Spearhead from Space (Nice way to introduce post-regenerationess and UNIT)
4th Doctor - Genesis of the Daleks (I know it's longer than expected, but c'mon...it's Genesis of the Daleks!)
5th Doctor - Caves of Androzani (Classic story and it's has a great regeneration)
6th Doctor - Vengeance on Varos (I just quite like this one tongue)
7th Doctor - Survival (I know you didn't mention it, but it's the last one and could also serve as an intro to The Master)

I think with these choices you get a nice balance of 'classic' episodes that deal with different iconic aspects of the series.

I got in to Doctor Who not too long before the new series started back in 2005 by watching random stories from each Doctor. But for a newcomer I would suggest starting at either Christopher Eccleston or Matt Smith.

Yep...dude's nuts.

Looking though his IMDb has made me realise how old I'm Alan Patridge is! If anybody is a fan of British comedy and they've yet to check it out, then do so.

And yeah...Pegg definitely helps make anything better.

I wonder if Pegg is now consciously collecting franchises: Who, Mission: Impossible, Trek, Tin-tin, the Edgar Wright trilogy...

He needs to get parts in Futurama, something by Marvel, something by DC, maybe The Man From UNCLE if anyone is making that, and he needs to persuade George to paint him into Star Wars as if he'd always been there.

Then he could do a special edition of Spaced where he has always been his own collectible figure set.

He voiced Dengar in The Clone Wars series...either that or he's going to, I don't really keep up.

I really don't get the hate for The Long Game...then again, it's been a while since I watched it.

Maybe it could be a good idea to expand the site a bit more, making it more of a general movie site with news, reviews, articles and such? This could potentially up the page views and would allow for more traditional ways of gaining some sort of profit. Us forum folk could even be 'hired' as staff writers so that there is not too much of an extra work load for the guys.

Another way could be to go the Video Copilot route and offer some free vfx/general filmmaking tutorials alongside with some paid packages.

Whilst it isn't the best, I do really enjoy McGann's Doctor and I wish he had the chance to do a proper series.

That sounds pretty cool, I'll have to check that out.

I love that video, hope I get the chance to go to one of the Doctor Who proms someday.

1. Hartnell - An Unearthly Child, The Daleks

Troughton - The Tomb of the Cybermen

Pertwee - Spearhead from Space

T. Baker - The Ark in Space, Genesis of the Daleks, Terror of the Zygons, Pyramids of Mars, The Hand of Fear, The Talons of Weng-Chiang, The Horror of Fang Rock, The Ribos Operation, City of Death

Davison - Earthshock, Terminus, Enlightenment, Resurrection of the Daleks, Caves of Androzani.

C. Baker - Attack of the Cybermen, Vengeance on Varos & Trial of a Time Lord

McCoy - Paradise Towers, The Curse of Fenric, Survival

McGann - TV Movie and The Horror of Glam Rock (one of the few audio dramas I have heard)

Eccleston - Dalek, Father's Day, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways

Tennant - The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, Human Nature/The Family of Blood, Blink, Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords, The Fires of Pompeii, Turn Left, The Stolen Earth/Journey's End, Waters of Mars

Smith - The Eleventh Hour, The Time of Angels/Flesh And Stone, Vincent and The Doctor, The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon, The Doctor's Wife, A Good Man Goes to War

2. Probably either Eccleston to Tennant or Davison to C. Baker.

3. The Sensorites, The Long Game, Paradise Towers, The Horns of Nimon, Terminus & The Idiots Lantern.

@Teague - Martha is certainly my least favourite out of the new series companions, I don't hate her though. Although I am interested what makes her your favourite?

@Invid - Can't say I was too fond of the E-Space trilogy, although I may need to give them a watch again. I'm also a fan of Adric, but I think he works much better with Tom than Peter.

I went to an Alien marathon last night and the print used for Alien was pretty horrible. It's been a long time since I've seen actual film being projected, so it wasn't the best reintroduction.

I've had no internet for a week, which has been a bit of a bummer. But I did manage to get some spacey stuff done...sort of. I couldn't get my practical space scene working well at all, so I ended up making some stuff out of foil....yeah, what a step down!

My job basically consists of cutting up foil, so I started using the excess to make little things here and there. Sadly my phone has broke, so I couldn't snap any pictures - but I made an X-Wing, TIE Fighter and an alien from...Alien. I've kept them stashed away, so hopefully I'll be able to snap some pics up next week.

@BDA - I'm fine with that, Harry Potter it is!

One of my favourite companion combo's has always been the original: Susan, Barbara and Ian. Susan's exit still gets to me.

I actually quite like this version with the Doomsday score added to it.

The next series is supposedly episodic, with each episode being a 'mini-blockbuster'. They even released a movie-style poster for the first episode.

Well, it's deadline day and I never really got to do what I had planned. I wanted to do a practical space scene like what I did above, but y'know...in motion and with a toy spaceship.

The term 'plot hole' seems to be thrown around too much these days. It's almost like it's a buzz word for anything the viewer didn't like.

(Speaking generally here)

Just spent a good bit of time plugging and asking people to plug the Kickstarter page, so hopefully it's of some help! I'm also down for the vfx stuff as well.

This isn't my final thing, more of a quick test. I wanted to create a space scene practically, so I poked some holes in an old t-shirt and stuck it in front of my monitor. I also used the flash from my phone for the star.
