Me and the girlfriend cooked up those eggs this morning, they were something else!
Oh hey, It's Grant!
"District 9 and Star Trek abortion baby" ...?
I've been rereading Hemingway's "The Sun Also Rises" and "Operation Mincemeat" a non-fiction book about how British Intelligence used a dead tramp to help win WWII
No it really looks like that. Actually kinda useful for finding your way home when drunk
I picked a copy after being very entertained by a podcast they did to promote it with (i think?) Creative Screen writing magazine.
I read it more for the stuff about working for the studios then as another 'How-To' guide but they did have some very interesting point on their writing process of outlining and writing alternate scenes.
It's a bloody good read very few people manage to make the subject entertaining
This fit perfectly with my train back from my shoot in London last night, really enjoyed it. I must admit to not reckonising the writers names in the credits and thinking "Oh so Trey didn't write it, who are those guys?!"
It was a really interesting process making Arc rather then "we decided to make Pink Five, then we made Pink Five and then there was Pink Five"
Also I loved Teague's description of guerilla filmmaking as being anything you can cut corners on set and finish up later.
I've been waiting for this one for a very long time.
It really was terribly dull. I saw it in a dollar theatre in Texas on half price money and still couldn't help feeling a bit ripped off.
Well you've certainly got some nice driving shots.
Unfortunately the 'twist' doesn't work. It might if you cut the flashback of the phone when he's driving but as it stands the film just comes across as smug.
A good twist builds clues all along and this just leaves the audience feeling tricked and unsatisfied.
I'd love to hear this.
I usually just put the film without any menu
rtambree, Hi Welcome to the forums!
I know atleast in the UK that the numbers are down in terms of bums on seats. You absolutely right that the box office is at an all time high but it's because they are charging less people more money.
If God Bless America ever gets released over here I'll buy it
You would not want me to sing.
Someone go get Zarban

that's what the guardian say but they're probably a bit bias as well, I tried finding a daily mail article for you but they just seem angry that anyone is getting money
It's all well and good saying make less arty stuff and more commercial stuff but if anyone knew what that meant we wouldn't have flops like Happy Feet 2.
What's playing in the arthouse theaters there right now?
Ralph Finnes' directed Shakespear adaptation, a Singapore animation, Shame, The Artist and a collection of slapstick comedy shorts.
