Considering it was released internationally first, I'd bet it's made more than that.
Does that mean you want to participate, and have someone to drive?
I was kinda more impressed with Black Widow, tho, and how they totally turned her from some second-string afterthought in Ironman 2 to having a couple or really great scenes with her in this one
Have to agree, it was one of the better surprises that this character, which I had no investment or interest in from her first outing on screen, turned into such an important part of the story. Most of the thanks for that has to go to Joss, who has a history of writing strong, complex female characters.
This was a really well thought out script, and the balance of screen time worked well. Hawkeye needs to play a bigger role in future films, but now I actually want to know more about that guy. The biggest take away from this film is how much more interesting these characters are, and that's something the Marvel films haven't had since Iron Man 1. Real return to form for these guys, and the thanks has to go to Joss.
This will be a billion dollar film.
I <3 ARMA, and the original Op. Flashpoint.
Is yours set in space too?
Maggot1300's stuff is shot, cut, and uploading. Just going to look at replacing some of my in-car stuff and pick up a missing scene.
Oh yeah, RHYME FIGHT!
Well they finally made a hulk I want to see in his own franchise, as long as Joss writes the script.
Did your showing get cheers when, in Stark's penthouse, the Hulk smashed Loki mid-monologue?
The dialogue saved the film for me, it harked back to the first Iron Man movie - fast, witty (for the most part), and character driven.
I loved the way they diffused Thor; going in this was my biggest concern - how do you get past the whole Norse God thing? They made the character vulnerable enough that you never felt it was the Captain Hammer and sidekicks show.
In the UK and AU we didn't get a post credit roll bit. There was the mid-credit sequence but Matt mentioned the US kids got a little more after all was said and done. Details?

Well, looks like there's a-gonna be all kinds of fightin' here today....
Vertigo wins, because Kim Novak as a blonde is all kinds of devestating.
^ What he said.
Generally in the car on the way to and from work. It's a great way to pass a 45 minute commute in each direction.
Art is defined by both the intent, and the interpretation. For a movie reference of this idea, see the floating bag in American Beauty.

This intermission is infuriating; oh to have been in the chat room for the recording of this one.

I won't post the list here, although it is detailed in the article. His reasoning for the choices made is the interesting part.
Oddly enough, Michael Bay is not included this list. Ebert, despite his massive brain, has missed the symbolic, genuinely moving imagery of Megan Fox washing a car.
That inlet is really clear, can you dive it (no strong currents, lot of boat traffic)?
NO WAY, Tatantino apologist!
Dorkman also has to see Avengers.
Hey Brent Spiner has submitted stuff? Neat!
Related to pricing. Not that this will actually change things.
From the Adobe shop I can buy Production Premium 6 outright for $3175 ($3321 USD), upgrade from Production Premium 5.5 (which i dont have) for $626, and that's about it.
I can subscribe to Premiere Pro 5.5 for $93.75 per month.
At $63 per month, Cloud is looking pretty damn good.
(Don't even get me started on Adobe's pricing for the Australian market)
As above. My expectations for what I'm about to see are usually in inverse relation to the amount of marketing it's had.
We pay through the nose to watch a film here ($22 for a regular 3D ticket, $20 for 2 large soft drinks and popcorn). By the time you factor travel it's almost $70 for two people to go out to the movies here. If I'm paying, that film had better give at least be leaving me with a memorable kiss goodnight.
Sadly, there's no guarantee of quality. I pay more attention to reviews before going to the movies these days. Clear differential between cinema and DVD films.
