Winter Solider is interesting and I am certainly looking forward to it. Trailer was definitely well done and surprisingly, didn't give away the whole story. Good on them
Also, it didn't feature a sky scraper collapsing, even though a helicarrier went down. Weird...
Although, it does look like the panelists' fears in Avengers is coming true. They are building a bunch of the carriers only for them to start falling. Bad PR right there.
Not crazy at all.
Now, stay on your side of the Internets...
My side, your side. My side, your side!

Darth Praxus wrote:At some point I'll need to upload Trey's "Explode dinosauh! We give you million dollah!" bit from the end of The Lost World.
Speaking of dinosaurs, I believe that Terra Nova quotes warrant a representation as well as Trey's monologue regarding the ORIGINAL GI JOES.
If not, then that monologue should be run under the GI JOE trailer instead of the sound track

This...all of this

I agree completely. I thought that this was a sequel to Junior. What a ripoff. NO STARS
Twins had nothing to do with the baseball team or baseball at all.
^Very nice.
Not sure about pricing down in Cali, but spaghetti can be put together fairly cheaply and in large quantity. Also, do different meats or things like that to change the spicing.
I, personally, love the ROTS commentary, and if Ryan W will be a part of this, ROTS has from fun clips for him.
Teague's whole "hotter than a barbeque" about lava is a great fun bit between the panelists.
Also, Trey's different names "Vinyl Backflip," "Red Face Mother [bleep]" from the Avengers is another fun bit.

Knights Tale fucking rules. Super fun and true right kind of camp .
I love A Knight's Tale. Great humor, fantastic performances and just enough seriousness to be enjoyable. I'm staggered by the people who treat it as supposedly historically accurate, then tearing it down for inaccuracies.
I really need to find the part in history where "We Will Rock You" was played at jousting tournaments. No doubt edited out by the Knights Templar (we all know how they are)

The pacing is bad, the story is lazy, the characters (Han in particular) aren't consistent with what's come before, it's the worst looking of the first 3 by a long-shot (hate the cinematography), ewoks, and that awful ending music. A handful of moments keep it from being out and out terrible, but for my money it's almost as bad as the prequels.
Yep, that's some controversy right there

That'd be waaaaaay too far removed from movie-related topics. A discussion about religion in movies, however, would be very interesting.
It's funny that you mention this. I was at the Urgent Care this past weekend and X-Men 2 was on. The character of Nightcrawler struck me as very interesting because he wasn't belligerent in his faith but it was there. It also had some of the best use of Bible verses in films that I have personally seen.
While the panelists' personal religious views are interesting (to me) it is also just that: personal. I shy away from religious discussions on the Internet because it is way too personal for us as human beings, regardless of belief. Too easy to offend, to hard to apologize and make good connections.
Sorry, tangent.
I just started thinking about scripture quotes in movies and how they have been used or misused. Thought it would be an interesting movie topic.
Also, I had the thought about an Intermission regarding Doctor Who-quick summary, doesn't have to be anything in depth, like a full commentary.
Zarban wrote:Wait. I"M INVOLVED IN THIS?!
Yeah. Didn't you get the memo?
Also, I go to work and you guys go and pull this? Super stoked (even though not an HP fan) and am amazed at you guys.
Slightly bummed that during Christmas time I am stuck at work so I will do my best to do the supporting before the thing.
Oh. I thought that it was just me being American and all that.
Fair enough. I did think that was a sweet and very touching film.

I did, I really did
Huge fan of Zahn and his Star Wars novels.. Will now have to look at some of his original works because the concept art got me curious. So, I'll be heading to the library here soon
As for the project, I'll be reading and watching more, but it is a great find. I have often believed that Zahn should be doing something with video games.
Faldor wrote:I went to Torchwood if it helps. See Road Trip
I did notice that...
I was more curious for a non-American point of view, since I look at Torchwood and think its crazy and messed up, but that could just be me.
avatar wrote:I'm waiting for someone to defend Transformers, Adam Sandler, M. Night Shyamalan, Damon Lindelof, Episode 1, and the Wayans.
C'mon - which bozo is gonna say they're underrated?
It depends on what Shyamalan work your talking about. Some of his is actually quite interesting and engaging. I personally enjoyed the village but am not a fan most of his other films.
Lindelof is also a mixed bag. I won't say he's underrated so much as it depends who he is working with. Since I am a fan of both Abrams Star Trek films, I don't think he is completely bad at films, but his choices are often odd or too much fan service.
I have no defense for Adam Sandler save that Happy Gilmore is a guilty pleasure of mine.
Rob wrote:If you're in a charitable mood, you can kinda see how people might make the "irregardless" mistake, since it sounds like "irrespective," which is an actual word that means something like "regardless."
Here's one of my favorites: people who want to use the word "bias" but have no clue how to inflect it for what they're trying to say. And so they write stuff like "You are totally bias in your opinions! Eat shit & die biatch!" Visit your local YouTube comment thread to see that one in action.
Um, go to your local YouTube channel comment thread to watch English die a horrible death...
Did you guys ever talk about Torchwood? Because, if not, you should, because I really don't get it, but would love some other points of view.
Invid wrote:This is all making the fact my sister thought it was pointless and stupid all the more amusing
She should not like more movies...that might be the secret
Also, bullet, the fact that Christopher Eccelston is in Thor 2 can't make you care?
I would now like a picture of the pile of complaints sent to the FCC about cable...
"Yeah, just file it over there. Try not to trip over it."
The one of the whale being blown up is based upon true events, so I am amused that the animated version was so offensive.
I can believe it bombed, but I actually watched it twice in the theaters. It was one of those films that hit me right.
But, I have no doubt that it is not for everyone. Even the tone is completely different from Bruce Almighty and really didn't play on the same theme. Again, not going to appeal to the same audience.
There is a portion that was on Youtube for a while. Have to check for it again.
BigDamnArtist wrote:How in the hell do you get into a 3D movie for 12 bucks?? That's a regular 2D in these parts. A 3D is like 16.
Um, 11 for 3D and 9 for 2D. A little less since I am a student...
