That is indeed a large room filled with men.
A couple of pics from a sssuuupppeeer impromptu headshot/portrait shoot I did with my friend Nicole.
Well...in part...definitely. But it's more just a general vibe the show puts out. It's really weird.
I caught an episode of the new series on TV last year. Not nearly as good - just trying too hard. Aisha Tyler what are you even doing, stop it.
Yeeeep.
It's really sad. I've tried to start watching probably half a dozen times by now, and I just can't get it to click. And it's weird because I watched Colin and Brad's two man improv show, and that thing is absolutely hysterical, I just don't know why the New Whose Line feels so grating and painful.
In other news.
I just finished the first episode of Mrs. Browns Boys. Laughed my fucking ass off. Will be continuing.
I love these things. I just wanna make a whole album of everyone on the forum just screaming bag over and over again. It is absolutely hilarious
Thanks Darth!
That's probably it.
Really? Weird, I've only ever heard people talk about in the "Wonderful World Of Filmographical Curiosities" way.
Strange.
Clue, from what I remember of it, is cute. You can definitely feel it's low budgety-ness, and you definitely shouldn't try to take it seriously. It's one of those movies that's remembered for being sort of weird and off the wall, and because "How da f- do you make a movie out of a board game??", that it just sort of got a reputation as being one of "those" movies.
But highly regarded...not so much.
Dave: You should be able to just pump out .obj's from maya and Teague can import those (I think Lightwave can use objs....Teague?)
That's how I did all my modelling from Blender to maya in Film School.
EDIT: Aah, Teague sniped me.
Teague, if your down for the 3d stuff have at it. I can maybe find time right now but ill have much more once we get arpund to comp time.
Of all the phrases one could use to describe Clue...highly regarded... is not one of them.
I need to cobble together some kind of steadying rig. Simple homemade ones seem pretty effective at producing MUCH smoother moves. So maybe I'll try to create one of those first.
Also, I've ordered a shotgun mike. That seemed to be a better choice than lav mikes, at least in the reviews I could find, especially given that I know nothing about hiding mikes on actors, and my actors are children
1) I've made my own glidecam esque rig out of plumbing parts, a couple screws and a free weight. Works great, I can't find the tutorial I used atm, but I can upload a pic of my rig later if you want. Cost me like 20 bucks in total from a home depot run.
2) I pretty much exclusively shoot with a shotgun mic these days. You'll definitely want to have someone there to boom it for you. It's quite remarkable how much of a difference it makes in the sound quality compared to having it strapped to your camera.
Yeah, I think I have to agree with the FD diagnosis. As far as I can, that extra little fiddly bit just locks the iris open... not sure how or why that would be useful.... but that's what it does.
So cool, I'll have to look into an FD mount for my M43.
Thanks guys
...plus the pain of interfacing CS3 with whatever Teague uses...
Not nearly as difficult as you think it is. The hard part is going the other direction.
The date of Doctor Who's return was announced (it's August 23).
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*voice enters into range beyond humanities ability to hear*
I got new keys.
Oh, also the house to go with them.
Cheeky bugger.
Congrats!
Oooo, that ship looks like fun.
But actually though, thanks, I got a random paycheck couple days ago, and I totally forgot that that was a thing I wanted to do way back in the days when I didn't have the money.
So now everyone wins.
ARE YOU HAPPY NOW DAVE?!?!
Dude, I have been looking forward to those ever since that first discussion. Get those bastards out here man.
Oh gods...
So much Teaguetorials...
Must watch...
So..
Gah...
Ugh...
*faints*
Spotify. Sigh.

My name is: Chris Walker
My email address is:BigDamnArtist@gmail.com
My level of expertise is: High-Mid
My software (and version) of choice is: CS6 (premiere, photoshop, afx, audition plus the few randoms), Blender
FX techniques, pertaining-to-this, that I already know how to do are: greenscreen, tracking, roto, comp, 3D model/render, basics of pretty much every step along the way.
FX I'd like to learn, and maybe this could be my chance, are: That lightning thing Teague mentioned sounds pretty interesting
My availability is: Nil to none, but throw something at me and I'll find some time.
So I picked this lens up from a thrifty for 2 bucks, but I can't figure out what mount it is to see if I can get an adapter to throw it on my M4/3. So I'm throwing it out there to see if anyone can recognize it on sight.
