Who knows, maybe if they went out searching basements, they'd find Max.

Apocalypse seems to be a recurring theme these days *um*.

Considering how much time you had for this, this is very good. Congratulations!

I like how the darkness seems to be constantly eating off your face. I quickly figured I'd enjoy it more with all lights off, and I did.

You're a great actor. I'll watch it again soon to make sure I haven't missed anything (I did find it hard sometimes to understand what you said, especially while playing the piano), but the story is touching, and the way you filmed it made it all about how you'd act and show us your character. You nailed it, quite frankly.

Before I started reading the books (having watched the show first), I thought I'd wait to watch each season before reading the corresponding book. I bought the first book only, figuring I'd read it and then decide what to do. But then, when I was done with it, I was like "Yyeeaaaaaah no, can't wait".

I didn't like the idea of having the show spoiled, but I don't really care anymore, because the show is different in its own way, and there still is the excitement of discovering how well they've adapted the books.

I've watched the trailers for season 2 and I think I'm even more excited than I'd have been without the books.

Now, the other choice is fine too, but you'll have to wait for years before being able to read all the books. It's up to you, but you can wait until you've finished book 1 before making the choice.

It's with great shame that I must confess I have never read LotR either. I'll get them right after i'm done with a Song of Ice and Fire.

I believe we have people from India, South Africa, etc. Those would be great to have added, to get that feeling that DiF literally is a worldwide community.

...anyone from Siberia?

It did make some wonderful shots possible, though. Especially this kind, with bolts of lightning created by the smoke.

Thought about doing the same thing, Matt, but it just wouldn't be the same, I guess.

That, or we European people do our own LotR viewing with the commentaries. And balrog burgers. Oh yeah.

You guys are fucking insane. I wish I could have done this with you, but that'll be for a next time. Still popped in the chat for a while, though.

Congrats to everyone. You guys rule.

The time difference will make it hard for me to be with you guys all along. Plus, I won't be able to make it for the beginning. I hate it.

But I'll definitely show up in the chat. Probably around the beginning of the second movie. I won't be watching the movie, since I'll have missed the first one and I've been meaning to watch the three LotR movies again for ages.

Just to say hi. To the whole fucking gang. Awesome.

If I had an axe, Teague, you'd have it.

I loved what the said on www.ralphmcquarrie.com :

There's no doubt in our hearts that centuries from now amazing spaceships will soar, future cities will rise and someone, somewhere will say...

"that looks like something Ralph McQuarrie painted."

Anyway, I raise my glass to this guy. His matte paintings for the trilogy still amaze me.

The Machete Order seems brilliant. Everything sounds like it works much better than the actual Episode order. Although I'm not an Episode I hater, I think I'll try it.

Seriously dude, I sometimes dream of what your night sky must look like.

Plus, auroras.

Jesus Christ, dude, your pano looks like a fucking Terragen render. I hate you. Can I please come live with you?

So I just made my own pano. I'm back at my parents' right now, and to be honest, the view is much more interesting than that from my apartment in Montpellier.

This is in a little town called Digne-les-Bains (now this could be a fun thing to hear you guys pronounce), south-eastern France, in what we call the pre-Alps. When you look south, you have the low hills of Provence, and when you look north, you can already see some high mountains. Quite a diverse landscape.

Jeez, Big Yellow Box. Brings back memories.

I built my own lightsaber too when I was younger. The result was... not that cool. I was actually planning to build another one, but then I started studies and the hobby kinda faded away... If I ever need one for a fan film someday, I think I'll just order one from Ryan...

Anyway, that's pretty cool. Pretty curious to see how you're gonna make the detachable blade system!

This Kids featurette video perfectly shows which audience Lucas has been aiming at for the last years. That's just sad, but it doesn't even shock me anymore.

I'll see it. I actually like the prequels, despite everything that's wrong with them. I agree with almost everything that's been said about them, I agree with everything that's been said in the Episode I DiF commentary, but I still like them, because... it's Star Wars.

I'm a young one here, I've discovered Star Wars with the prequels in 1999 - I was 8. When I watch the prequels, I don't watch movies as much as I enjoy being in the Star Wars universe. I've spent my adolescence being a SW fan (still am, but in a different way). Seeing the prequels that way prevents me from hating them. There may come a time when it stops - and I'll completely disconnect from Star Wars. But I don't wish that to happen anytime soon, because SW still is the universe I'm the most fond of.

So yeah, I'll see them. Because I love this universe, and because I just want to enjoy it on the big screen once again - although I don't care much for 3D.

And because I can't wait to see that awful Yoda puppet removed from Episode I. I'm not the kind of guys who think CGI is always better - but the Episode I Yoda is fucking terrible.

Well, thanks for letting me be a part of this. I'm still kinda new here, but I've never felt so strongly and quickly involved in a community I'm new in.

The result is awesome. I love its "worldwide" feel. I just can't wait to see what crazy project is gonna come up next. Thanks for making this happen, Teague.

Guess there's no debate over the usefulness of the chat anymore now is there?

So just you guys know, I'm gonna do some overdriven guitar for the chorus, and hopefully, some quiet solo notes during the interlude.

I don't think even the aimed audience - children - liked him.

I'll see, but I really want to watch the Twilight one. I can't begin to imagine the potential it has.
