Cookies with my picture on them.  I... uhh... wait, what?

And Zarban, can I live in your basement for the rest of my life?  It won't be for very long, I'm quite old.

I know a guy who'll dispose of a body for twenty bucks and a carton of Pall Malls.   Want his number?

Seconded.    I think it was a conscious choice on the filmmaker's part to go with a ridiculous Jetsons-style future, mostly because trying to accurately predict the real future is a fool's game.

I do wish the two-bladed tie had become a reality, though.  That one actually seemed plausible to me.

Well, Crichton has been dead for three years - so it was inevitable that the quality of his work would decline...

Micro, to be fair, was only partially completed upon Crichton's death and Richard Preston finished it.  I like Preston's non-fiction, but haven't read any of his novels.

It's now the Simpsons ride.  They paid me lots of money and I met Matt Groening and James Brooks.

Your childhood wasn't all that great anyhow.

bake-off season is coming up again right now, though - might be well worth an intermission to discuss this year's entries when the time comes.

I wish more people would recognize that they are fans of mine.  Their lives would be so much better.

Seriously, thanks man.  You actually own more of my movies than I do.

No new recordings until 2012, but releases will continue on schedule... unless Teague has too much eggnog and forgets.

Or y'know, the world ends or whatever.

I'd love to hear Trey and Eddies take on Sergio Leone and his spaghetti westerns!

While I'm flattered that you want to know my opinion on it, I'm not sure my take would be worth your time.

Nor would mine, because I've never seen one.  I've got no aversion to them, just haven't gotten around to them.

Meh, this is just one of those episodes where Trey interrupts everybody.  I'd skip it.

I know Trey has suggested Unforgiven in the past.  Dude what are you waiting for?

I continue to suggest it with annoying frequency, I believe the others would testify to that.

As a result, I think it's getting close to the top of the to-do list... or maybe they're just humoring me.

Ha!  The Croc is on the other cat now, eh?  Have at you!

What are you thinking Trey?

As I said on Twitter - they shouldn't be allowed to reboot Troopers when I still have perfectly wearable crew t-shirts from the original.

On the other hand, all my Blob t-shirts are gone, so that one's fair game.  And fun fact, I discovered a mint condition Batman Returns "penguin puppeteer" t-shirt recently, it ended up in a box long ago and I just never wore it.  So knock it off, Nolan, you're disqualified after all.

It also made me realize that whenever we talk about doing "Trey" movies, I never seem to remember I worked on that one.  Even though I spent weeks in a refrigerated soundstage with Christopher Walken, Tim Burton, and Danny deVito, along with a hundred penguins in battle armor.  Good times.

I dunno, I can think of a few...

Sixteen-Sided Die Hard
Eat Shit and Die Hard
Tie-Dye Hard (aka The Young McClane Adventures)
Die Fledermaus Hard

And Cutthroat Island, let's not forget.

Of course he's done other movies since Dracula, but for whatever reason he didn't become a movie star like it seemed he was gonna.  Instead he became a That Guy.

I don't know how to characterize movie acting, but this is TV acting.

Actually that's a pretty interesting example - the girl is Brenda Song, who played Eduardo's scarf-burning girlfriend in The Social Network, and her performance there was obviously different.   In fact, she's one of my favorite actors in that movie.

It's certainly an example of how "acting" is different on the Disney Channel...

Same here.  Saw it in the theater when it came out, at least several times on video... I remember Oldman's weird old-lady beehive hairdo, and the shadow-puppet stuff, and... uhh... okay.

Zarban wrote:

I'm not familiar with the Frank Langela one

Haven't seen that one in a very long time either, but I remember Langela being really good.  He'd been doing the play on Broadway and the movie turned him from a stage star to a movie star... or seemed like it would, except he never really did anything as high-profile as that again.

The other things I remember most are John Williams' crazy romantic score, and one particular scene that scared the f*ck outa me.  Just thinking about it gives me the creeps, though I wonder if it would have the same effect on me if I saw it now.

I'm pretty sure it's just waiting its turn to be released from Teague's Big Year-End Episode Stockpile, since we're now in the holiday season and recording weekends are growing scarce.

EDIT:  Or, wait... was that another one from the Weekend of the Glitches?
