Nice post.
Teague: I hope YOU'RE referring to fictional beer!
See, now you just killed it. Unless you're talking acting performances in indie movies.
If that's the case, then I'm still at a halt. I have a fairly decent film knowledge, but studios or not is not something I take note of, unfortunately.
*next*
Oh and Kyle: Nice list. I'm happy you chose the 60's batmobile over the tumbler, but I'm surprised the DeLorean isn't in there.
One of my 80's movies
Leonard Maltin, on the other hand, isn't. Remember those Star Wars VHS pre-film interviews? Exactly.
Films should be made by love, not producers and studios.
I like it. I've never watched Firefly, so I can't exactly see any similarities, but I like it.
It did, however, feel like an intro to a short film, and not like a teaser or trailer.
Then again, when you look at the Force Unleashed 2/Old republic trailers, they do this kind of thing too. So yeah, like some here already said, it has that videogame feel to it as well.
Dorkman: Tits or GTFO.
Yeah, I think you covered that already.
I like the idea, but it'd just as well be a colored sphere in the top right corner of the poster, or a small description stating it instead.
I might even love you more than Teague right now.
If those numbers are indeed correct, I might start a petition for a PAL feed on iTunes.
Epic. It's slightly pitched, but not so much that it's *really* noticeable.
Thanks, dude.
Oh, if only there was a soap opera version of DiF.
Sweet. Did I mention I love you?
I remember the number 4 being in there, so I think that's it, yeah.
I remember Zap(I think) gave a 'magic' number, and the releases *I* downloaded worked great. Maybe not perfect, but hella better than NTSC.
I hate NTSC/PAL. Why couldn't we just have one unified one?
By the way, Teague, what's the verdict on getting an own PAL feed? I seldom *watch* the films while listening, but this is also due to the fact that they get terribly out of sync after an hour or so. Trying to realign isn't easy either, since it's not often you go "This shot where this happens".
Huh. Tricky one.
1. Palpatine. Say what you will, but like Hitler, he made massive amounts of people follow him. I'd like to get a few pointers.
2. The Doctor (Doctor Who). This kinda goes without saying, but I could use some advice as to what I should do next.
3. The Master (Doctor Who). Ha made a completely new race. I'd like some advice on that front.
4. Boba Fett. Surviving(EU, anyways) a sarlacc.
5. Mace Windu. How to leave yourself completely open for attack, yet survive.
Next: Top 5 Cars in movies.
'twas fun. I fell asleep way before the end of it, but I'll be downloading it anyways.
Nicely done.
When will this show up in iTunes, though?
I wasn't aware there was anything else named 'shine'
Yes, Trapcode. Nifty plug-in. Highly recommended.
As for the godrays mentioned here, you can pull off simple, yet believable underwater godrays using a combination of Shine and a fractal noise layer in AE. Make a fractal noise layer, and scale it to about 10% height(if not smaller) and 100% width. Make a Shine layer to shine through it, but place the shine way up above your comp. If the noise layer has animated evolution, the rays ('volumetric' lights) will animate accordingly, and won't look bad at all.
If you're green on this, I can compile a really quick test to show you what I mean.
Kindle.
Or some 2500-page crap that takes forever to read anyways.
I agree with Dorkman. I mean, you *could* go without the Burton/Schumaker films, but it'd just be cheating. I was actually wondering why Batman Begins wasn't on that list, since I personally find it to be better than Dark Knight.
Hey, it worked.
I can't say anything's missing on that list, since you already said it's compiled by the most popular ones, but there's a few I'd like to add.
Another time.
