You get in, speak unintelligible Glaswegian as per the script, locator says "..."

You speak more, locator says "oh, Glasgow." Which for some reason I thought you were from.
FYI. In the latest cut you posted, fcw's "Oh, Glasgow" comes before Saniss' "I'm french as hell."
And Saniss never actually gets a "France" title card.
And yeah... I think I managed to decipher "Shirt" out of everything fcw says.

Some more random photos. Had a really kickass sunset last night. unfortunately the really awesome part as I was driving home without camera, and in the 10 minutes or so it took to grab my camera and get out to somewhere I could see it, it had passed. But these are still pretty.

On a side note, having not seen it, it seriously feels like everyone on the god damn planet suddenly joined a cult. "Yes. Gravity is our lord and saviour and we must worship it with every ounce of fervour within our beings. All hail the one true movie." Not really a point behind that, just kinda what it feels like on this side of the fence.
These are 2 short little videos that I made with Bullskit comedy here in Red Deer. Bullskit is an Improv and Sketch Comedy troupe that does monthly shows, and I volunteer with them and film all their shows.
These were as run and gun as you can get, both were shot in about a 3 hour stetch running all over downtown after I got a text saying "Hey can you come shoot a thing for us?", and like 20 minutes later being downtown; and then edited and post-work by me over the next week (including the voice at the end!).
They aren't perfect by any stretch (I really wish I had brought my nicer wind sock 
), and it's based on local political humour (great for an international audience! Woo!) but hey, what else is the random creations thread for?

Alright I can see that. On the counterpoint I'd argue, that if you're having the text at the beginning setting this up as a project done around the world, an impossible roadtrip, it definitely adds another layer to that. Just level out everything tonally, so it's not jumping all over the place I think it could work.
Or yeah, the Wizard of Oz thing. That actually what I was expecting when I saw the B&W. Really punch that whole, "if the music is compelling enough this should work" or whatever the actual line is.
-Shrugs- But hey, I'm just the asshole on the outside looking in. That this works at all is still a miracle.
1) Yeah, I was gonna say, there's a lot of room at the beginning and end of a lot of shots that could get pulled out really easily and would definitely alleviate some of the awkwardness (The bad awkwardness, not the awesome good awkwardness throughout). I would say do this before cutting any lines or chunks. If you can get the speed between the lines (or moments) up I think it'll flow a lot nicer.
2) So is the black and white a thing now? Kinda kills the end shots imo. Especially Toms and Saniss'
3)Really looking forward to an original score. Agree with the homebrew feel it would amplify.
Idk, fridge logic physics seems like the kind of thing that would kinda piss me off to no end.
(And no, I haven't seen it, and yes I'm in the spoilers thread. No, I have never particularly cared about this movie.)
As far as I understand it, This Is The End is one of those quote-unquote comedies that makes it's home in that sort of joke.
Just from hearing it, it sounds lie they're trying to make fun the whole "men are monsters" thing, by pointing their spotlight at it and "flipping it on it's head". Not saying it works, but that's my gut reaction from what I know about the movie.
If anyone isn't following Neil Degrasse Tyson on twitter, you should. He has a running thing going on at the moment where he's just throwing out issues and questions he has about Gravity.

This is one of those "creative people embarrass themselves" thread.
I was digging through my photobucket today and wanted to see how far back it went, and boy did it ever go back...aaalllll the way back. So I'm gonna show em to you guys. 
My first ever quote-unquote real project I ever did in blender/3D (Roughly mid grade 10, so 2007ish):
The character for my first animated short film ever (Done for a contest for free ride to Vancouver Film School...didn't win. Late 2007ish I think):
Unfortunately I don't think there's a copy left of the film itself online, and if I have a copy that survived my hard drive crash last year, it's probably buried so deep I'd never find it anyways.
If anyones curious and wants to, there's an entire slew of photos following that one of progress photos for this BATSHIT insane project I tried to pull off through grade 11-12 (2008-09) that really needs to be seen to be understood. I'm really tempted to go find the finished shot and upload it for you guys, just so you can see this goddamn thing.
Any old school TFNers might remember this one, I think I kept up an update thread for it in there somewhere.
But well...this was just one piece of a full landscape I did (not well obviously, but did)
And ended up something like this....except animated, and 3 minutes long....with more shit.
Yes folks, I have never done anything small....ever.

Isn't the whole thing about Saruman in LOTR that he actually used to be kinda a cool dude, but then he was corrupted by Sauron and then PLOT TWIST he's actually evil now guys.
Or did I just make that up along the way somewhere?
